8 Characters is ok for the launch
Simply put: No it is not ok for the launch. Alot of your idea's and suggestions are good and would improve the game greatly, most were made to the Developers 6+ months ago and still nothing has happened regarding them. They may have implemented several community suggested ideas into the game but they have overlooked so many more that would only improve the game further.
It took many years of updates to Starcraft before it appealed to competitive players.
I agree. There is no point claiming Demigod to be an e-sport before it's even release and before the fact that the game could lose it's appeal way before there is any kind of balance required for truly competitive play. I think everyone is jumping the gun a bit here. If you like the game so much then just wait until it's released and t

(Though I do think a click button 1, click button 2 combo isn't exactly in-depth..)
Well, the shatter mechanic is decent, it's in a mid-range that is accessible yet more complex then a normal direct skill. Having a few more "combo" abilities like this may be only a slight change, but will offer different builds more variety. Demigod's redeeming factor to having so few to choose from is the diversity in
That's like saying Sins of a Solar Empire is just training for multiplayer. Demigod has a pretty good single player component. Well the single player will consist of exactly the same game as you would play in multiplayer, only against AI players with a few cutscenes. The single player will pretty much be a training for you to begin participating against others online.

We just sat back and tossed out a couple of expansion when the lease payments on our private jets came in. I mean, that's what people think of when they think of a Stardock published game - tossed out there and abandoned. Which is fine since everyone understands what the
I seem to recall that the general marketing hinted quite strongly that if you like Dota you'll like Demigod. I don't recall reading anywhere (except well after Beta 2) the devs saying it's nothing like it. However, the biggest marketing blurb that I found completely disingenuous was the "we want Demigod to be the COUNTERSTRIKE of RTS." ...if you came in here because of your various marketing campaigns and interv

From recent forum reading I have noticed some distaste for either or both of Circle of Fire and Fire Nova. This suggestion is very simple but would add a bit more depth to the very lacking Fire build for Torchy. Here's an overview of the abilities: Case 1: Circle of Fire surrounds the caster with a wall of fire that burns enemies that are standing upon it (damage over time) Case 2: Fire Nova blasts out a wave of fire outwards from the caster causing instant fir

Age of Conan and Warhammer Online are two examples of games that were lacking in endgame content and needed a bit more polish (especially the AoC). Currently, AoC is nearly dead and Warhammer seems to be dying a slow death. What tends to happen when you don't one-up your compet

Connectivity has improved greatly. When i first started beta testing i could connect to 1 of about 30 attempts, where other people could connect to half of the games. I hoped my participation in cari_elf's network testing lead to some good results, being one of the more distant players (Australia). There are still some very minor issues with connection but a restart of the game usually cures it. Kudos for the connection fix.
Please stop spamming this crap. We arn't blind and when you post something once or twice we can all read it clearly. Demigod is a casual game. One that involves basic, easy to learn/easy to master gameplay. You may be over expecting a competitive community for this game.

People not playing because they expect a more polished Beta? or people not playing because they expected a more polished final game? Take your pick.
This is just an idea i had for making the game more accessible, popular and generally more fun to play. Positive and Negative Feedback is welcome. Futuristic Theme Makeover Introduction: Demigod is pretty much the exact SupCom engine, with SupCom mechanics although used in alot

Nice idea, having this will add to the barely existant RTS elements that should have been in the game. Unfortunately great idea's like these will be implemented months after release, if ever at all.
