Try creating a new theme and then copy and paste the cursors from other themes that you want to use for your new theme. A little more difficult, but I think it will work. You might also have to recreate the settings in the right panel for the animated cursors.

Try turning off "Show recently opened items in Start, Jump Lists, and File Explorer" in the Windows settings and see if that accomplishes your desired effect. I know this works on Windows 10 with Start11 ver. 1.39, but have not tried it on Windows 11.

This would be a nice addition to Start11. In the mean time you could try using symbol characters to help your group titles provide a more obvious separation. Examples: \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ UTILITIES //////////////////////////////////// >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

A couple more things you can try. Click on the avatar in Start11 and select Switch User. This should bring up the Lock screen. Now sing in to your Microsoft account. Also, try clicking on the avatar in Start11 and select Sign out. Sign back into your Microsoft account. Try right-clicking on an empty area of the Start11 menu and select Refresh icons multiple times.

Pretty sure Start11 gets this avatar from Windows. Have you rebooted your computer since you updated you Microsoft account? Check in the Windows Settings under Accounts>Your Info, and make sure you have updated the user photo. It should have updated from your Microsoft account if you are connected.

I've seen others use symbols to delineate their group headings. for example: >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> ______________________________ MISC UTILITIES _____________________________ ****************************** MISC UTILITIES ****************************

I am running Windows 10 19045.2546 with Start11 ver. 1.38 in Windows 10 Style with 197 shortcuts in 10 groups, all with custom images, and have no issues with lag. I only have one folder with 32 shortcuts though, and I have renamed only a few shortcuts. Basj suggestion about network or cloud links seems to be the most likely issue. If you don't have any of these, I'm not sure what your issue could be. Do you have any of your custom icons on OneDrive or another cloud service? All my cu

In Windows 10 you could pin a folder to the taskbar by creating a new Toolbar and placing a shortcut for the folder in that Toolbar, however, Windows 11 deprecated that feature. There is still a way to pin a folder to the taskbar in Windows 11. You can also pin a file using this method. 1. Right-click or press and hold on to the folder and then click/tap on Show more options > Send to > Desktop (create shortcut). 2. Right-click or press and hold

When you run the Office "Online Repair," the Office Suite is first uninstalled which also removes the shortcuts from the Start Menu, both the Windows and Start11 Start menus, and then the Office Suite is reinstalled. If you look in the All Apps section of the Start menu, you will see the "NEW" badge attached to all the Office apps. You can try using a backup as described above, but it is probably better to re-pin the Office apps from the All Apps section. I also wonder why it is neces
A complimentary option to this would be an option to 'pause Deskscapes 11 when an App is in fullscreen mode'. There is no reason to change wallpapers when you don't see the Windows Desktop. Cheers.
Put your apps closer to the bottom of the Start11 menu (closer to the taskbar), and you should see the context menu open from the bottom up. See if that gets closer to what you are wanting.

The Start11 menu offers more options for start menu icons than the Windows 10 Start menu, hence the additional options in the context menu. Tucking these into the more item would be counter productive for most users by adding an extra step to making changes. I'm not sure if it's specific files you want access to or recent files. If you want Start11 access to specific files, you can pin those files to a new page in the Start11 menu and organize them however you like. Start11 in the the

If you pin the apps you use the most to the taskbar, and then right click the app on the taskbar, you will get the context menu you are looking for, with Pinned files and Recent files at the top of the menu. Also, if the app is open and you right click on the taskbar icon, you will get the same context menu as above.

The Toolbars option on the Windows 10 taskbar is not supported in Windows 11. However, another Forum member discovered a web site that shows how to pin a folder of file to the Windows 11 taskbar. https://www.makeuseof.com/windows-11-taskbar-pin-almost-anything/ Scroll down the page to "How to Pin a Folder to Windows 11 Taskbar." Pinning a file is the same procedure as pinning a folder. There i

The "NEW" label in the ALL APPS section has been a feature of Windows 10 and 11 for a while now. It should disappear automatically after a few days. As far as I know, there is no way to turn this feature off. I do know there has been a discussion of this issue on this Forum before and I think in an update to Start11, the "NEW" label was set to disappear after 24 hours.
