No, not as such...but I have been known to have 20 or so instances of PSP6 open at once...along with a similar number of DXTBmp [a graphics converter], whilst all the usual stuff is open...and an instance of FSX still loaded minimized....so I can alt-tab into the sim at a 144 refresh rate. Frame rate is typically over 100 with hz to match at 2560x1440...;) The graphics are usually 4096x4096 in PSP format with as many layers as PSP can handle when it's only a 32 bit proggy [even
Really MINOR issue. Version information seems to be out of sync.
No, that's how beta release numbering is done. A Beta of a version 4 is a pre-4 release...so has a pre-4 number. Only when a program is declared 'gold' does it get a full product version number. Fences 4, when o
Stardock's Object Desktop subscription was the way [in GUI modding] to stay ahead of the pack with alphas and betas. They weren't otherwise available...so anyone willing to pay the sub fee could be expected to understand the process of 'alphas break things' and 'betas break things more obscurely'. Unfortunately, I think that when alphas and betas are more readily accessible to all the result is it catches novices offguard and it is they who DEMAND fixes, not realizing they are s
So it's either Fences 4 or 3.9.8.44??? How can I know which?
Being a Beta of '4' means it will have a very late '3' number. That's common procedure with naming alphas, betas, etc...;)
I think it is time to turn the insider preview off at this rate.
Good plan. Once upon a time people would dive into alphas and betas in the full understanding that results could be 'entertaining' at best. When things broke you'd just say 'that was fun'...and eventually things wouldn't break quite as often, and you'd stick with the new OS. These days any old twit installs whatever is new becau
If you're auto hiding fences and want to open a fence it makes sense that the option for the fence to be on top should be possible. No. If you have explorer patcher installed AND update, it breaks explorer patcher. If you have Start 11 installed AND you update, nothing happens to Start 11. If you have explorer patcher AND Start 11 installed AND you update, it breaks explorer patcher which also takes out Start 11. Yes, you can now see your Fences' icons on top of open applications [Windows]. Some said it couldn't happen [and technically it shouldn't be able to]... but never say never when it comes to the back-room boys at Stardock ...;)
No, nothing 'needs' to be said. GUI customizing software has always taken longer to adapt to a new OS because it integrates with that OS, whereas something simplistic [relatively] like Photoshop generally doesn't care what OS it's being used with. A VERY GOOD example. I use PaintShop Pro 6, and have for a very long time because I am used to using it specifically. I have it installed on WinXP without issue. Ditto on Vista Ditto on 7 Had it
Why is it that the 'newest' members of the community are also the most impatient? Do either of you fully understand what's involved in integrating a program directly within an OS Shell, particularly in an OS shall that is not yet Gold? Just because the 2019 WB 11 wishlist thread predates your involvement with Stardock's products does NOT mean nothing is happening...or that it's "the death of windows customization". Patience is a virtue. It pays to be virt
I believe most people posting here would rather have a little more definitive time frame 1st quarter 2nd quarter excetera.
The problem is the false perception that once Microsoft has released an OS it is 'finished' and never fundamentally changes. That is very definitely not the case with Redmond's current policy of releasing into the wild and relying on the general user to be an expansive beta testing pool.
