Nothing available from Stardock's software on 'myaccount' will be an issue or 'unsafe'. Some AV programs give false-positives when dealing with some compression algorithms and/or any executable, however the easiest way to not suffer them is to set Stardock's site as 'trusted'. GUI/Shell software often gets flagged because it is intended to alter the OS and/or system files which is of course what a virus wants to do. Difference is....one is what you want....the othe
I understand you might be frustrated that I can't provide you more,
kaliscialo there is no 'frustration' at all, only a patent inability to resolve issues if and when there is no input provided by the person with said issues. Support simply requested a video showing how it's not working for you, and you call Support "a jerk". If you are unwilling to engage in i
How do I "resize cursor"
Windows changes its cursor depending on what it's needed to do...ie...as a normal pointer it's an arrow head [of some choice] but when placed over a window edge [or Fences edge] it changes to a double-ended arrow indicating the edge can be moved [resized]...;)

If the Fence is unlocked...and can be resized and the top is at top of screen but bottom is below the screen, you should be able to pull the fence down lower via the top title bar, then at the top edge change to resize cursor and make the fence shorter by pulling down...then drag the fence via the title bar back up to the top of the screen and the bottom will come with it as it is now a shorter fence. Hope that makes sense...;)
the implementation should be changed.
Then you need to talk to Microsoft if you want the z-order of their GUI changed. It is Redmond who decided from Day One of the Windows OS to have desktop icons at the level BELOW any open windows. Fences works with the OS icons AT THE LEVEL determined by Microsoft. There are other programs available that can have icons added ABOVE open windows...because they too are effectively windows that c
I have no HP support software installed.
I bet there's one hiding somewhere. Was the OS install from a clean format or are you running something installed by HP? Every laptop [yes I know they are a bit different] I have is a total clean install...and most are not even on the original HD...[I have 5 here presently]...;)

The question is would it step outside the purpose that Fences was designed for,
One word = Yes. If you understand z-order then you know exactly where Microsoft wants its icons to be, and where every user on the planet expects t
Yeah, I was very disappointed that when you un-roll a fence it is hidden behind other windows. for me it makes fences just about useless. This feature would be great, especially for when fences are docked across the top edge of the screen.
Please read comment 301. You don't have icons on top of windows with or without Fences....;)
I've gone back to 3.44. After installing 3.5 and rebooting on both (Win7) machines, I had the same problem using seamless mode. Cursor would jump back to the main, almost immediately. While trying to troubleshoot, I rebooted both machines a second time. At that point, my connection on both, was shown as a public network, with no internet. My wife's (Win8) desktop was knocked off line, and my camera server (secondary machine) lost connection t
Fences could do this
I don't really think it's within the possibilities. If Microsoft requires a specific click/open action on one desktop icon it will apply to all. Standardization of input/response is important to the shell's functioning...;)

Fences takes 0.2 seconds to load. Microsoft makes all programs load after boot has FULLY completed. If you see what looks like a 30 second load time, what you are really seeing is exactly how long your system takes to boot...☺

Innis and Gunn Kindred Spirits whiskey barrel aged stout beer.....again. Bought some the other day, and am going to one of our favourite pubs here in the Rat on Saturday for dinner...so will take a Stubby for Anthony [the publican] as he also likes the stuff. He brews his own beer and pots it on at the pub fromtime to time....makes the best Porter I've ever had. Maybe with the lockdown he's had time to do some more....;)
