As an update to all a correction to the "Every time it starts up it asks for activation" has been published to Impulse. SDC is due later today. The individual icon troubles are still at large and in testing. Just letting you know we are working on it.

Goose that isn't what I wanted to hear. Now post here with good info please..... Just kidding (kinda). Ok well to take this further we need to talk with some of your account info and that isn't possible in the forums. Please contact me at support@stardock.com and link this thread there. I will be happy to help!

Hankers is great, listen to your Hank. Impulse is the replacement for our current downloading software Stardock Central. While Stardock Central isn't discontinued this is the new and effective way to get your download and account information. By the way, you're also able to have Impulse lookup your account information at any time through the registration tab. This is a nice feature, though which you will never need to remember your serial number or any download links to use Impulse

Not to break this thread at all but I wanted to post here in case some of the people posting here haven't seen Brad's annoucement in other locations. While the GalCiv team is ready to do number 3 they will not be doing so just yet. Brad has them working on a more fantasy based game. I can't tell you any more than that but I didn't want everyone discussing the next GalCiv thinking it would be around the developers corner. First will come the next title before the talks about the third installment

Instead of your Icon Packager serial number right click on the registration in Impulse for the software and input your Object Desktop serial number. That should clear the issue for you. I have also reset your activation count so you can. Let me know if you have further troubles.

For anyone with this problem please let me know or give me more detail. I tried this on a 32bit Vista as well as a 64Bit one with Nvidia and ATI and could not get this issue to occur. I will need to know OS, version of Object Dock, a short list of system specs, and your video card and latest driver date please.

That certainly hasn't happned since we have been testing it. I personally am using the same set up as you and have not had troubles like this. Have you tried uninstalling, restarting, reinstalling, and then restarting again before running the software? If not please give it a go and should the problem still come up please contact us at support@stardock.com. It sounds like this is more than just Icon Packager.

I have been trying to replicate this on the latest IP4 update. I have now done it on more than 5 machines and still can't get this to happen. Now I CAN get this to happen when I change the individual settings on the Optical Drive. Help me break my stuff.... EDIT: Nevermind we can replicate it and it is part of the bug the developers were already working on. So we have a head start on this one. Please stand by for an update once we get a fix running and tested.

Just out of curiosity (since I am having a hard time getting this issue to occur on my end) can you go to the Icon Packager folder and right click on the Icon Explorer.exe and then click run as administrator? Then when it asks for activation just do the normal activation. Restart your machine and let me know if the same thing happens.

As of this morning we should be all connected and set up yet. If you are still having troubles please give it till the end of the day before reporting it as some servers might still be getting the reset.

No that was everything I needed. I have passed some of the info onto the developers. We hope to have a work around but if there isn't something possible it would be included in an update.

Under the listed email here Khaos I don't see Object Dock Plus. Can you PM me any info I can look up for you? Like a serial number or other email address?

As of this afternoon we discovered the problem with the servers. The developers have been made aware of it and we hope to have things fixed shortly. Sorry for the trouble.

Could there be any security software that needs to make an exception for the Weather Docklet? If you can connect to the internet but the docklet can't then it must simply be blocked. Try disabling any security software then restart the program and see if it persists.

Well so long as you have it working that is good. Something you can use for Stardock Central: -Go to Tools->Settings -Click the Internet section -Click the "Refresh XML Data" button Run this program: http://sd.stardock.com/mike/apps/clear_cache_sdc.bat After that restart.

I tried this on my Vista machine Astyanax0 I'm not sure what could be casuing this. What themes are you using? Checked the basics like video drivers? It isn't likely but always a good thing to check.

Oh that would be a problem for several parts of the program yes. Though I am going to test that out now on one of our virtual machines. Thanks for the heads up!
