No it doesn't mean that. It means that anyone who does pay $100 for early access is likely to be committed. It's a way to screen to get as many of those people as possible involved early on. That doesn't mean it's exclusio

I read through this from a non-fanboy perspective, and these are some thoughts that went through my mind. Might want to re-word/clarify a few things before releasing it to Steam and elsewhere. So, only people who are willing/able to pay $100 for a game are the only ones committed to the game's concept? Casual gamers are not worthy? Why is it crazy to say people are paying for the priviledge of beta testing?

In my experience both the free versions of AVG and Avast are garbage. They both missed a virus that Norton and Kaspersky caught. You get what you pay for... As far as Norton being bloatware... Starting with the 2012 version, the program's footprint has been reduced significantly. I've never experienced a slowdown from it. Also, since I've been using Norton, I've never been infected. Not once. Same goes for Kaspersky.

Yesterday I was driving down the road and a couple of young people with thier noses stuck in thier cell phones stepped off the curb in front me even though the walk sign said don't walk. I pose this question because this is now the second time this has happened to me. These kids did not look much older than 8 or 9 years old. [/quote] I

IMO, software (of all kinds) should come with a built in counter. As long as you don't run the program more than 2x, you s

One thing we have to keep in mind is that people who post here are the "squeaky wheels". There are 10's of thousands of people who never post here, but buy any and all DLC's right away without question or comment. Nothing will change until this "silent majority" stops buying the DLC's,... but when or if this happens, the reduction in DLC revenue will be blamed on declining interest in the game, rather than disapointment in the DLCs.

Hey, There are a number of different play styles, but here's my approach. The key to keeping the other factions off your back is your power rating. as long as it's higher than the others, they (usually) won't bother you. In addition to spamming cities, build as many units as you can. Level up and upgrade their weapons and armor at every opportunity. Also, accepting trade routes and economic treaties will make the others civs act less aggressively

If you don't have the time, skill or inclination to make custom sov's, then this DLC is worth the $5. And even if you don't think it's worth $5, you can always wait for a Steam sale. That being said, I would have liked to have seen new factons, not just new sov's for existing factions. Also, a 50/50 split of male and female sovs would have been nice. Also, a lot more options for building a custom sov (I think there are only 3 new ones?), and the abilit
