Notice how it finally arrives, two days before a new DLC is released. Nice coincidence. I love Stardock, I understand they don't have to release any patches at all and we can go to Hell, but maybe I just expect better from them than the old 'Insert Coin' slot. I bought the map pack, items, and quest DLC. The Undead faction looked like a rush job t

Most modern games don't have perma death, so you never actually lose... You should have seen the rage at the arcades in 80's when all you had was three lives. [e digicons];)[/e]

Awesome! Just 3 hours and 45 minutes more... The afternoon is going to be slow...
I don't know if this is real or imagined, but it seems like certain monsters are grouped together on each random map. And if you get one group, you never see monsters from another group. For example, I often get maps with a lot of skeletons or no skeletons. Lot's of fire elementals or no fire elementals, etc. If this is true, I'd like to see a greater variety of all monster types on random maps.
So the spouses dlc is nothing more than new starting leaders. Not really what I expected.
I'm pretty sure Brad said the DLC's would be content additions only (something that didn't require coding). Without coding, a spouse would end up being little more than eye candy, or just another hero that you happened to be married to. Personally, I'm glad they didn't go that route.
I kill of a STRONG camp, lose some of my hard trained troops who have gained several levels only to receive a set of throwing knives. It's good they threw their lives away for a set of fancy cutlery. A Sovereign's gotta have cutlery! So I reload and do the STRONG camp again and find a set of leather gloves that no one can use because they already have a pair I bought, and I have the privilege of selling for about a 1/4th of my gold income per turn. So
Sounds great. Can't wait for Tuesday and Thursday!
This has to do with development cycles. I am sure there are hordes of bugs that are easily squashed, yet they introduce new bugs, and if you fix 500 bugs, you have to test the 500 bugfixes, and then retest, and test all the basics again, and test some more, and then you release and only THEN you find out you've introduced 50 new bugs. Unless your game has a structure built for constant bugfixes and updates, its not that easy to release hundre
I was a big fan, and I would love to buy this, but then I think about Civ V. They ruined Civ, and I have complete confidence that they'll ruin SMAC. I'll stick with my good memories.

Very true, but, if everyone refused to fight in wars, what good would a declaration of war be? Even laws that go against your [US] constitution have to be enforced by people that swore an oath on that same document. The psychopaths in power may tell the people what to do, it still the peoples choice to do it, and the IRS has no shortag
With all of this hate on the IRS, I wanted to make a clarification. Don't waste your time shooting the messenger. The IRS interprets and executes the tax laws written by Congress. So, if you're pissed off about taxes, it's your friendly neighborhood congressman who should feel your wrath.
