Maybe it's because I never really "got" Minecraft, but those pictures all look incredibly dated even compared to WoW, not to mention games with actual high requirements like Skyrim (modded) and crysis.
What annoys, and scares me about new technology are the people who will use it for undesirable reasons... eg, using 3D printers to make guns and/or other weapons to inflict harm or death on others. If it were up to me, I'd have some software mechanism in ALL 3D printers that prevented users making guns, knives and other offensive weapons that kill and maim. The fact that gun creation was even mentioned is a worry..
I can't imagine how this would be more than a trivial coding effort to fix. Suggestion: decide on a creative flavour of naming for each faction and make a long list of names in an xml file that the game draws upon. That way, modders will extend your work for free.
No, it isn't. If someone even so much as thinks about making their own firearms receivers with 3d printing, the BATF is going to be kicking their doors down SWAT-style and throwing the book at them afterwards. And the book of firearms laws is extremely large and heavy.
Unless someone tries to mass produce them for sale, the gov't would never know.
I wonder how much the "ink" catridges for a 3-D printer costs. I'll bet $1M that they'll follow HPs example, and will use the "Gillette Model" http://www.investopedia.com/ask/answers/08/razor-blade-model.asp In any case, it's a Prepper's dream, because now they can make their own guns.
Windows 8, regardless of the platform used, needs to die.

How and when will we be able to access the Founder's vault? There will be a Founders vault site where users who purchased can access all the stuff, pretty much like the GCIII vault.
The android market doesn't exist. we did a lot of research and interviews with developers, some of which make apps that are well known and the sales are abysmal. It's a fine add on market but you wouldn't want a company spending time targeting it. I'm completely confident that E2015 will be great, but I want to bring up potential issues with Founders programs and early access. The main reason I didn't participate in the GC3 program was because I was concerned that my 3 year old computer might not meet the system requirements. I guess I should have considered that regarding E2015 as well. But this is the primary issue I have with sight-unseen games.
I'm in as well. Waits patiently for Founders Badge. I mean, why should the GC3 founders have all the glory?... [e digicons]:)[/e]
I'm easy. If I can see the individual pixels that compose the objects in the game, I would consider a game dated.
Quoting Borg999, reply 7 the market for "pay to download plus in-app-purchases" is already tiny for iOS. for Android such a market does not exist.
All the more reason to launch it on a platform where the greatest potential customer base (current SD customers) is.
Just curious. If it was known that most SD customer use Android devices, and that the phone app market is like a lottery, why was Dead Man's Draw released for the Iphone? It just seems like SD would have had greater sales if the app was designed for Android devices because there is a large "pre made" market for the product with existing SD customers.
I just got an email from "Apple" telling me "in order to get back into your account, you'll need to confirm some information" I don't, and never had an Apple account. It's almost certainly a scam.

First, I apologize in advance if this isn't the right place to discuss this... Several months ago, I started a thread about a website that could help reduce prescription cost. It was a legitimate site, and I provided a link from Consumer Reports to support it legitimacy. It seems a few days ago, someone posted a link in my thread to a website that's known to be a scam. As a result, it appears that the entire thread was deleted, not just the post with the scam site
Just another potential revenue source. Extentions that were once free will now cost some small amount.
