More likely half way through Win 12 they will release Win 12 and a Half, and just jump to Win 14
Probably....though it always amused me how many parts of the US never had a 13th floor on their tall buildings. I hadn't the heart to tell them they all were wrong anyway when they called their 'Ground floor' the 'First Floor'. Fair enough they insist on doing their own thing with 'Aluminium' ...but going it alo
Jafo
That's sad news. Our thoughts go out to her family and friends.
Jafo, I'm asking TPScroggins for further clarification on their comment. Your answer reveals your thinking, but not theirs. This thread does not refer to the Stardock-Ironclad relationship thread.
I'm sure my thinking reflects theirs. I've been an Admin here long enough to know their thinking...;)
Having a thread like what?
A thread asking questions related to confidential business decisions that has no reason to be aired in public. The sort of questions you'd be required to sign an NDA before they were answered, and then wouldn't be in a public forum at all, obviously. ;)
If you are not going to switch to Windows 11 for a long time then I would currently stay with WB10, particularly if you are currently happy with its functionality. WB11 is new...and is intended to conform with all the changes to the OS in 11 that MS is still fiddling with. The old adage...."If it ain't broke...." ...;)
There are all sorts of questions that can be asked but shouldn't necessarily be expected to be answered. [Like who killed Roger Rabbit]. Business decisions/associations/connections/whatever are rarely anyone's business other than those engaged in 'the Business'. A clear indication of what I mean..... I do not know, simply because I do not need to know, and have no interest in knowing. I 'could' find out, however that's where it would stay as passing knowl
I have no idea who locked it. Note to T-Man ...an 'auto record' function would be handy for such things...;)
Yes. Irrelevant subject matter in a Stardock Support Forum.
To be clear....a program is something run by an OS. A shell enhancement is something run to alter an OS Shell. If you cannot comprehend the difference then any shell enhancements are not something you should be getting involved with....;)
If you do not want shell enhancements to exist on your computer in any form what so ever you will need to uninstall it totally. These are not third party softwares they are operating system enhancements that need running processes exactly as the rest of an os does. Just as with those other processes you can kill them directly... If you don't want to ever see them you can at least uninstall, unlike most processes locked in by Microsoft's os itself. Most if
Hi....not exactly. Object desktop is a Subscription service which provides ongoing updates etc to its suite of included programs. When or if you end your subscription you can still use any programs already downloaded and installed albeit without future updates...;)
I don't see the one Basj posted...but either way you typically need to logout from any Stardock sites...and log back in again. Cache can be a wonderful thing...;)
Not me...re the Cockies....but being a cyclist I just have to 'endure' September and being attacked by Maggies. Pretty much everything in Australia wants to kill you....and all of them are the best in the business in the world....but those that can't quite get there just make life 'entertaining'. PS .....watch out for Drop Bears...;)
My condolences, Jim.
This can stay hidden
Perhaps you have some Fences set to different viewing types...for example...double click vs mouse-over. The mouse-over ones will stay hidden and ignore 'double click'...potentially same issue with hotkeys ...;)
Thats a behavior you learned on the internet but learned NOT to do in kindergarten.
I never went to kindergarten. There weren't too many of them outside of major cities in Australia in the '50s. Again, no-one is lying "to your face" or in any other form. If you have recently formatted your computer and thus lost any/all of your historical software downloads that is NOT Stardock's fault.&nb
The table shows the 'minimum requirements' ...and Windows 10 64bit is the minimum...;)
My Object Desktop "subscription" has apparently expired, which means I don't get access to beta releases anymore. Or at least that's the lie you told me.
No, it's not a lie. It is a fact. When ANY Subscription ends you will no longer have access to product updates after that time. If your Magazine subscription ends that's the last magazine you get. But... You will still have all those magazines you received during the time
WB11 will be compatibile in old themes ?
With each and every iteration of Windowblinds...in response to the new OS versions coming out from MS it's always hoped that existing skins will be still compatible as much as is humanly possible, however that ideal cannot always be reached. It is simply 'Best Practice' to try maintain compatibility...;)
That's bad, I've been using ObjectDock for years on Windows 10 and now on Windows 11 and I'm very happy with it. Will there be an update for ObjectDock for Windows 11?
No, however although it was not supported in either 10 or 11 some people did have 'luck' with it in 10. The same cannot be said with 11 as that OS is substantially different to 10...;)
My sympathies for your loss.
Every person has his own small corner of the site. [correct English, technically not discriminatory]...;) There are tens of thousands of uploads, each with many comments. Some of them have always been from spammers, others have been from trolls. All problem comments can be dealt with, but ONLY with the help of people who happen to see them. Managing any spam on any site is always going to be a team effort...;)
as I just did for this nice post.
Me too ...;)
naroon1....no thanks, we'll pass on Boris. We only recently got rid of one twit...don't need a worse one...;) I think 'most' Aussies are politely hanging in till 'Liz passes on. She's the last of 'real royalty'. The rest of 'em are pretty much just whining brats...;) My only preference is that the Flag stays as is. Too many Aussies died in every single theater of War, declared and undeclared in the past 120 years or so - under that flag...;)
