Lol....but out of scale.....the pc case is bigger than that....😃

If I had a dollar for every time a graphic driver update screwed my system I'd be rich. For a VERY long time I have consciously avoided nvidia updates as my system is mission-critical. In fact, the only time you should update it is if there is a known-fix included to an existing issue with a game you actually use. The problem with cause and effect is, as a software developer will know, when a conflict is exposed between one component and another it is always difficult to a

Still 'happily' using Chrome....with 26 tabs open at any one time....and 8 of them are Stardock.....I must get out more....;)
If someone is listing their work as free to download and use then I don't see it as theft.
That's the point. "Use" has more than one meaning and needs to be defined. Free to download and use PERSONALLY does not necessarily also include....re-distribute to others, ie. by rehosting or reuploading elsewhere. Doing so then prevents the author from controlling its distribution and thus is typically a brea
Start10 is specifically designed for Windows 10, so it's not a minimum requirement. ..it's an absolute. You will need Windows 10 ....;)
No response at all?
Stardock is in the US. For the past few days they have been on the 4th July holiday break so there's a gap in responses. I'm 10000 miles away so don't get the holiday....but also can't help you directly...;)
Yep, if it's your computer it doesn't matter whether it's at home or office. ...;)
Yep, Phoon's right...a SSD is second on the list of improvements for speed....after more ram. Though...in the case of a laptop....it's 3rd....after more ram [second] and FIRST... reformat to get rid of all the pre-installed bloatware...;)
Marko ...you can trust any download from Stardock's sites. There are often 'false positives' which are mostly laziness on the part of the AV program being a little too 'general' in their blocking...;)
Good to see win10 in the 'cons'....;)
And it worked...;) And to take out another variable....was done on/from the 'Stardock' forum....shall repeat via WC...;)
Test.... If this works I suspect it's perhaps the way you're doing it
Adding any new program to an existing slow system is generally unlikely to speed up the system. What's more likely is you have an OS install, or update, or hardware driver issue. Only option generally is to wipe the drive and do a straight full install of the intended OS, allow it to update.. and manually check for any specific hardware drivers. One 'entertaining' issue with win10 is MS will require 3rd party programs to load only after the OS is fully loaded....that i

primem0ver ... yes, you are correct, the Object Desktop installer IS 'just' a download/install manager. That is because it is a Subscription Service. That does expire unless renewed, as does all subscriptions. What does NOT expire are the individual program installers which are downloaded by the service. It is those which need to be saved or backed up, as they WILL continue to function/install long after any expiration of the service. They will last 'forever' or un
primem0ver ....during the time you were currently subscribed you had continuous access to all the actual program installers associated with the subscription [and any updates during the same period]. As with anything purchased, whether online or bricks-and-mortar the vendor cannot be held/deemed responsible to replace something you yourself lose. Such a situation is like wanting Time Magazine to replace all the editions you lost in a fire simply because you use
Good to hear...;) BTW....same mjahn as SOH? ....;)
Just wondering as there seems to be no interest here and less on Stardock's web site. Thanks
A quick check on the numbers and 5885 WB skins onsite probably means it's alive and well...;) Incidentally....noticed the very first one submitted here was one of Frogboy's [as you'd expect] dated 1998 ...:0
Once you purchase the Object Desktop Subscription you can download and use any and all of the included software. If you download the installers of that software to your computer....and keep it/them safe, along with the activation code, you can use and reuse, install and reinstall forever. If you wish to have any/all of the programs to be updated after the Subscription was going to end/expire you would need to continue and renew the subscription. Whether you renew or no

I removed the xtra details ....links were active...;)
There is one fundamental issue with Windows 10 as an OS. Unexpected updates. On reboot pretty much anything can happen, and not always do you get a functioning OS still. I actually have one 10 machine that DOESN'T update at all....not even when you try to make it do so. It's locked into a version of itself that's 2 years old. As a long-time user of computers you must have seen similar occasions of coincidental 'failure' when installing/rebooting. I know
