let's keep this discussion on topic please. Xg, if you're having some WindowBlinds problem, please email support@stardock.com or make a new topic. Thanks.

Shouldn't really affect performance at all. WindowBlinds, for instance, is significantly faster than the default Windows XP style.
Thanks! We're glad you like it! I agree it is a major change from the gameplay of GalCiv II.
WindowBlinds 5.5 supports some new Vista controls. Below are the new fields for your .UIS file to support Vista content. For many of these, see the Vista Images directory. If the sections do not exist, WB will use predefined defaults from the Vista Images directory, or make a suitable image by recolouring something else. [Vista.Shell] This section is used for the bar under the address bar in explorer windows & file dialogs. Supports per pixel etc. 1 imag
The Vista BETA of WindowBlinds is now up. Got to https://www.wincustomize.com/Articles.aspx?AID=136284 to see more about it.
We are working on making it so that DesktopX content can be exported as MS .gadget files which will be a pretty big deal for a lot of people. I happen to know that ObjectDock (which isn't part of Object Desktop) has a 1.5 version coming out soon. As others mentioned, ObjectBar 2 JUST came out and that was a pretty big deal. Moreover, Keyboard LaunchPad 1.5 just came out and that had some very helpful new features.
gallag, which civ did that?
Pretty cool stuff.
A note about the JoeUser forums -- your existing email and password will work. They're all part of the same forum network.
You can actually discuss politics here: https://forums.joeuser.com/?forumid=3 Your GalCiv UID and PW will work fine. But like Kryo said, the problem with political discussions is that people start to dislike each other just over political beliefs. I debate politics all the time and when I'm on-line I intentionally magnify my political views to get a response (I am interested in politics but don't care care
Greetings! This forum has been created so that Object Desktop users from around the world can get together and tell us what they'd like to see in Object Desktop. A lot of changes are coming to Windows in the next several months with Windows Vista in development. And we want to make sure we're here to serve your needs as users of Windows XP and eventually users of Windows Vista. So if you have a new program, a tweak, a change, or anything else for that matter, let us kn
We're lame. We are working on an RC1 version. Microsoft implemented into Vista the features that were in StyleVista so we're having to re-imagine it so to speak.
It's the same except that morale buildings don't do as much. If you want to tax away 2/3rds f people's income you'll need to provide them with a lot of entertainment centers (i.e. if you want to be like a Scandinavian country you better provide a lot of government services).
The short answer is: No. They'll all need updates for Windows Vista.
Good post and many valid criticisms are in there. Some criticisms I don't agree with (wormholes and such) but it really boils down to where one thinks the center of action should be. I don't care about tactics at all. I care only about the overall strategy. So for me, holding key worlds is what matters. I'd find wormholes and such far too artificial. The technology tree was one of the things I wish we had done differently. We came up with, after the fact, the idea
bump.
I assume you've submitted this bug to support then because we've not seen it. 1) Which features were being used? 2) How old was the driver? Uninstalling WindowFX can be done through Stardock Central (or if you don't have Object Desktop you can do it from Add/Remove programs).
We don't outsource, we stick with child labor.
Just thought id point this out but, you did post a WB5 vs. StylesXP poll on a WB5 forum...try posting at the StylesXP forum and ask which is better. Stardock just has alot of bug issues goin on. WB5 has more bugs then ive ever seen so be careful. A) What Style XP forum? B) What bug issues are you talking about? <a h
The problem is that we weren't involved on the original Logika. That was through Pixtudio.
Normal was made a bit easier in 1.3 because we added some new difficulty levels at the top end.

Some very good feedback there. Thanks for taking the time to post it.
I'm definitely looking forward to playing it. I really like some of the concepts in the game and the graphics in the screenshots look very impressive.
DesktopX 3.2, which is in beta, does.
