We plan to come out with a Vista cursor program (tentatively called CursorVista) this Fall. Beta should show up in a few weeks.

I think the easiest solution is what Neil referred to - don't have it blur that particular skin. On some things, blurring doesn't really make it better.
Which operating system is this on and does this happen with any skin?
still have not got my upgrade email... how long should i expect to wait? You should have yours by now.
The problem with Windows XP 64-bit is that less than .21% of our user base has 64-bit Windows XP. But the QA and support time for another platform is significant. I can't say we won't ever support x64 on XP but it's not likely to happen in the near term. 64-bit Vista we do support, however.
It's hard to say, the challenge on Windows XP is to maintain high performance. In the near term, it probably won't be addressed but in the longer term, it might depending on video card performance.
Sounds like something went very very wrong with the install. I hate to resort to the lame canned one but I'd suggest uninstalling and reinstalling.
It's the video drivers. The Geforce 8800 on Vista has awful AWFUL performance in the released drivers. There's beta drivers that address this (I don't have a link handy). Also, GalCiv II: Dark Avatar v1.6 will help too.
5.51 is now available for registered users.
You can turn a USF into a Windows Media Player skin. But as a practical matter, there's really only 2 GUI skinning formats today (and only 1 on Vista). WindowBlinds (XP/Vista) and XP msstyles. (Vista msstyles are just resource DLLs renamed, there's very little format to them). When USF was designed, it was predicated on the assumption that there'd be several WindowBlinds competitors like there used to be (eFX, Illumination, Chroma, etc.). So the idea was that someo
We should have an announcement soon.
That's really the major change, the next IconX won't be based on DesktopX technology.
Good suggestion. Also, you can modify the colors of a skin from the WindowBlinds config UI if there are other colors you'd like to change. Good luck!
Let me ask about this.
There is some not-fun with IconX and ObjectDock indeed. The solution is not something you're going to like -- we're rewriting IconX to use a different mechanism because it just doesn't play well with other programs like this.
Woha. That is definitely a weird problems. Have you tried ObjectDock 1.9?
Which version of DeskScapes are you running? I am not familiar with this problem in general, but it could be a driver issue. What video card are you running?
Let me ask the development team on this.
Sometimes when you apply a skin you have to either kill Explorer or restart Windows for toolbar icons to change. If you're running WindowBlinds 5.5 that shouldn't be necessary however.
Stardock doesn't patch any files. Uxtheme patches are generally safe but can cause problems if you update Windows with something that changes that file resulting in an unbootable system. They also violate Microsoft's EULA. If there's a particular theme (.msstyle file) for uxtheme, you can install SkinStudio and convert it to WindowBlinds.
Yep. There will be.
I've never seen this issue. I don't really hae any suggestion on that. Stardock people do hang out here but posts don't get put into the database.
That is really odd. Try making a short-cut of Autocad somewhere and then putting that on your dock and seeing if it happens. Some programs have weird start-menu icons (like MS Office which had to be specially coded to support). AutoCad might have something similar.
forums.galciv2.com and forums.stardock.com are the same site but with different CSS. If a website is crashing your browser, you need to check your browser. The sites don't use any ActiveX or anything like that. It's actually pretty basic stuff.
The solution is to wait until WindowBlinds 5.5 leaves beta and download a shareware version when made public.
