Vista 5536 and OD

will it work ??

HI guys and gals !!

I was just wondering ~ Is the new vista 5536 build fully compatable with the OBJECT DESKTOP apps....

i.e. Cursor xp, iconpackager , windowblinds , winFX etc..

~ and, should I install vista would I expect to have any issues with it ?

They are working on getting OD apps Vista ready for when Vista is released, not for the Betas.

The short answer is: No. They'll all need updates for Windows Vista.

Thanks for the replies !!

So, if I put 5536 on my pc do i just unload all OD progs ... and this will return me to
the plain windows xp ?

I intend to dual boot with vista on my slave hd.. and xp on the master ..

No need to unload OD, you can still run them on XP just not on Vista.

.... sorry for the noobie questions ,folks ....

Given that I have saved my vista iso to a dvd , am I correct in saying that , when I next 'boot up' with the vista dvd in, will it install automatically , or will I be given a choice to use
either xp or vista , and if so , vista will run its' own theme ?

If the OD apps are installed in XP they will only affect [skin] that OS.  They have no connection with an alternate OS install, whether Vista or another copy of XP.

For each OS to 'run' a proggy that proggy needs to be installed in each OS...

Many, many thanks for your replies, folks, I really appreciate it .. I applaud, and laud your incredible patience and support ..... I guess my final questiion (this time round) would be . .

... when I install vista onto my d drive , my c drive and all that is on it will be safe and untouched, and I should be given the option at boot-up of which OS I would like to open .. ?

Yes.  Just select Custom at vista setup and select your D partition.
