Well, this went nowhere. Fast. RIP Fences.

STILL nothing. Amazing!
Don't get your hopes up. I reported this years ago.
Another problem that I reported years ago and still doesn't seem to be fixed xD
This problem will never be fixed. I reported this years ago :P
It's probably best to try the folder portals instead. Try organizing the items on your desktop in folders and then make the folder portals. Let's see how that works out.
RECOMMENDATIONS: -Add to Application file rule: msi, bat -Add to Video rule: flv, mp4 -Add to Images rule: pcx ISSUES: -When Auto Organizing for Vids to default to a fence, some movie files that are in folders go to the fence but some stay on the desktop. -When Auto Organizing for the Application files to default to a fence, it takes some shortcuts with it when you don't even have the shortcut extension indicate
I happen to come around these forums again because my desktop is getting cluttery. I remember reporting this same issue and getting a couple of tickets for it but the issue really never resolved and I just ended up uninstalling the program because of that. I hope it can be finally resolved so that I can install it again. If Stardock can make a 360Desktop duplicate, I'd be fine with that too.

When using laptop to connect to a lower resolution television via hdmi, the pixels between the fences become non-existant and the fences tend to overlap. Can you fix that? I would like to be able to view my 1080p setup the same way I view a 720p setup. I want the fences to shrink to fit, but I still want to keep the spaces between them intact. None of the options available do this. 1080p fences should look the exact same as teh 720p fences.
More like Norton by itself will annihilate your system :P Nah, like I said earlier they've all been working fine together and I've already disable a feature in one of them that did lock the system so everything has been fine for 10+ years. I'm good, but thanks for your concern.
I think I maybe narrowed it down to what it is. When I looked up cross thread deadlock, I saw something that said may not have enough priviledges. So I logged on to my master account and made 3 fences. And stuck the few icons I had on the desktop in them. Then I plugged it up with hdmi. It worked fine. So, the problem could be: -too many icons -doesn't work properly on lesser priviledged accounts. being restricted/held back. I
Also, I forgot to mention that I work on a lesser priviledged account if that accounts for anything (extra security measure against viruses). I posted an eventviewer log earlier. What do you supposed the crossthread deadlock means? I never tried fences 1. What I meant by all fences earlier was all versions of fences 2.
Quoting shinra358, reply 21Temporarily turning fences off, problem is gone. Well then, do that before connecting/disconnecting the HDMI, problem solved.
No. It's covered up. Defeats the purpose of even reporting the problem doesn't it. For the other problem: If you compare the pics I've already posted, you'll see that now a folder has bled out o
Well, if you have fences on both monitors, and you unplug the HDMI, all the fences would naturally go to the remaining monitor, and I could see how this would cause a problem.
When hdmi is plugged in, I have it so that the laptop monitor turns to off while it goes to the tv monitor.
I'd suggest turning fences off while plugging/unplugging.

I gotta ask....are you actually running MSE, SuperAntiSpyware, and WinPatrol all at the same time? Or are those just services? Sometimes running multiple antivirus/malware/antispyware programs simultaneously can wreak havoc with a system.
MSE, Malwarebytes, and Winpatrol are the full versions. Superantispyware is trial version. Full version of superantispyware can

Here's a pic of what the desktop looks like when I unplug: Here's a pic when I plug and replug and am still connected to hdmi: That cursor means that the desktop isn't ready yet and we even have fences glitch up like this something when explorer is frozen.</
When I get the crash, i can choose to restart the desktop and the program readjusts itself to work normally. So I took the snapshot when it was frozen instead. The version that was just released the other day. All versions did this anyway. 16gb as stated above. Don't need to do chkdsk. I've done it plenty of times since 2012 and have had 2 machines, one amd and one nvidia. Nothing was wrong with my machine. Nothing is wrong with my machine. <img src="ht
yes, explorer. it doesnt crash if you don't click on the taskbar. but if you don't click on it, it'll take 2 minutes for the cursor to turn back normal (explorer to become responsive) when you're hovering over the taskbar with the mouse. if you already had a folder open, you can still click on whatever is in the folder but still not in windows explorer. but if you have nothing open and try to right-click on the desktop background, the options will not show until the 'stall
Yes it's a laptop. I did post my specs like you asked... what other info am I missing considering the usage of the word vague?

People of the forums, if you notice the following things about this program, please speak up and say something here: -On hdmi connection, windows becomes unresponsive for about one minute or two. Clicking on the taskbar will result in windows crashing and restarting. -Icons somethings leaves your folder portal you made for it and goes into another or either goes straight out of the portal and onto the main desktop. The program is very buggy and the team will not fix it. People have been reporting this issue for over 7 months now.
