Open the OD configuration window and make sure that "Load ObjectDock at startup" is checked.
Having that setting unchecked won't make a difference as long as OD was running prior to hibernation. That setting only applies when a system is shut down and started from scratch.
Just to rekindle the question... When can we expect object dock 2.0? The last clue we were given was that it "won't be *too* much longer"... That was on January 12th. I think we are long overdue an update.
According to Jeff Bargmann, who is Chief Technology Architect at Stardock, in this reply https://forums.stardock.com/357439/get;2287512 OD2.0 is supposedly sharing development time with Fences Pro right now, but we had no more info
ObjectDock already works with Windows 7, albeit with many bugs (see corresponding Bugs thread). It's not even 64-bit certified, i.e. Windows XP/Vista 64-bit aren't mentioned on System requirements page. Please also bear in mind that Windows 7 is not yet available in the retail channel, though it will be this Thursday, 22nd.
By doing a major build the little things are kept to the sidelines. I am sure the bugs will be addressed with 2.0.
That's not fair for those who have issues with 1.9 release and latest beta build. Stardock usually charges for upgrades (i.e 1.x to 2.x), so people who have been waiting for over 2 years will be forced to fork out extra to get those fixes. I'd be annoyed to say the least if that happens.
Why?, has it changed from when you used to enjoy it.
Yes and No. Yes, it has changed, because the 1.9 build has bugs in it and the beta build has bugs. No because it hasn't changed to be better by being bug-free. My circumstances also changed. When I bought OD+, I was using Windows XP and there were bugs, then I moved onto Windows Vista and there were bugs, now I'm on Windows 7 and...guess what?...there are still
WHy would we have to pay for it...should just be an update... Like Windows 7 is "Just an update" for Windows 1.1. 1. It'll be here when it gets here. How many times does that have to be said/written? 2. Asking "When is OD 2.0 going to be published?" again and again is a waste of time. It won't make it arrive one second sooner.
That may be good enough for you, but it's not good enough for a lot of peop
As per https://forums.stardock.com/357439/get;2287512 OD+ 2.0 is in active development right now. A few months ago I predicted that it won't be ready and bug-free before Christmas, let's hope I'll be proven wrong [e digicons][/e]

IE7 is apparently not compatible with some of our web-apps (no, I don't know why), so we're sticking with IE6 for now. I'd run its T&Cs past your legal dept before insta
There is no beta (or alpha) for OD+ 2.0 yet. Not a public one anyway. Stardock is keeping the code pretty tight to its chest.
This kind of blows... My IT department doesn't ALLOW us to install anything beyond IE 6... Is there any kind of work-around that we can use? Why not just allow it to remain live until the next update. This expiration thing is a really bad way to do business.
I am curious about the kind of business that you're referring to considering that this community preview is a beta and is free.
Interestingly enough, it's not on the system requirements page so this looks fishy. IE engine is probably used for rendering stuff, but not 100% on that...
So I've just tried to update Fences because it says there's an update available, but every time I try to do that it keeps saying that there is an error. Does anyone know the reason for this? EDIT: Seems to have updated now...
Guess what?...One more bug has been found by yours truly! Recycle Bin's status sometimes does not change correctly, i.e shows and reports as empty while it's not and vice versa.
I feel the pain of the people complaining about stardock.....I have been using their software as an OD subscriber for a while now....they are very good at teasing their customers with the promise or implication that they will soon have updated software and never or after a very long wait they finally post an update.... nevermind...the forum software double-posted it :)
Another bug that I just discovered, it has been a while since I seen it, but it's back! If you have an external USB HDD and a dock with a Recycle Bin docklet, then when you delete something from that external HDD and empty your Bin by right-clicking on that docklet and selecting "Empty...", then on occasions the ObjectDock.exe locks onto your USB HDD and it becomes very difficult to Safely Remove it. My only remedies so far been Unlocker and LockHunter programs that unlock process han
I can uninstall my OD+ from the normal place in Control Panel, from Impulse and from CCleaner.
Works fine for me in Windows 7 Pro 32-bit, but the weather docklet is not without bugs, that's for sure.
One more bug, when will they be squashed? Sigh... On an occasion the hover-over information for system tray would not be displayed when hovering over an icon in systray tabbed dock. For example, Windows Media Centre Client Maintenance Update.
Another bug that's related to the one above... When closing Live Messenger, it's not shown in either taskbar dock or systray tab of another dock, yet a white triangle remains on its shortcut to indicate that it's currently running. Please sort it out Stardock and quickly! Sigh...
One more bug... The way Windows Live Messenger is in Windows 7 taskbar has changed from the way it is in Windows Vista and OD+ isn't handling it properly because you can't right-click on the icon in the current tasks dock if WLM's main window was previously hidden via X button.
