Stardock's products have always been in betas and customers beta testers
Sure, but a perk of being a beta tester was a bonus to purchasing a product license. Now there's a turnaround: you pay to get into the beta with a perk of getting the official release when it's all done and dusted. Seems the same, but it really isn't.
Just to clarify, the Microsoft betas you mentioned were time-limited and did not grant you a license to use the full finished product without paying. Pretty much the same as with WindowBlinds and any other app that has early "beta" releases for people who are either current subscribers or who preordered. I am quite displeased with the fact that Stardock are charging people to participate in the beta. Sure, at some point down the line this charge account for the updates between 2.0 and 3.0. However, for the time being, people are paying to test software, make no mistake about that. Conventionally, that's not something that people are charged for since they are doing a good deed to the developer, especially with bug reports and notifications of incompatibility issues. Something is a bit fishy here [e digicons]>_>[/e] One would have to pay to try the beta and report bugs (if any) to Stardock? You are having a giraffe, surely...especially after people waiting nearly 3 years for it [e digicons]:omg:[/e]
Without wishing to stir up another flamefest, I think it'd do no harm to reflect on something. In the past 3 or so months, the following programs/packages got STABLE releases: IconPackager 5, DeskScapes 3.0 and 3.1, Logon Studio, Skin Studio, Fences Pro, WindowBlinds 7 and Tweak 7. While it MAY mean that we're getting closer to OD+ being released, it is also indicative of the fact that while other programs got STABLE releases that fully support Windows 7, OD+ hasn't even had a single alpha/be

Yep, this has been mentioned in OD Bugs thread here: https://forums.stardock.com/357439/get;2353406 The reason it happens is because each HDD has its own hidden Recycler folder that is the actual location of Recycle Bin.
