Spotted another issue today while changing an icon for one of my docklets. Here are the steps: 1. Right-click on a docklet. Click "Dock entry properties..." 2. Click "Change Image" and then "Browse for an image..." 3. I clicked on "Recent Places" in the "Favourite Links" menu on the left side and double-clicked on a link to a folder in which my docklet image is. Instead of taking me to that folder, the icon of that folder was passed to OD and that replaced the

Just out of curiosity, what build are you running? I was going to say that it's a known issue, but you said that it is not even listed amongst the processes, which is strange. What OS is running on your Eee PC? I don't think there's a way to fix it on your end, so we'll have to see what wizardry Stardock chaps can master to tackle this one. It's worth opening a support case with them.

I wish the new version would come out too, but posting like you do all the time gets old. And, more importantly, it isn't helping, and it moves threads off topic. There are plenty of OD bashing threads around, as I'm sure you are aware.
It was Jeff who said in

I was simply pointing out this discrepancy. Yes, I've mentioned it several times in my responses, that's probably enough. I wasn't the only one over the past months to enquire about a new version and state that it has been quite a while since we had any love. Instead of bashing me for saying it once to

This is somewhat related to OD... On Stardock's page for this product, it says that "...In constant development, ObjectDock and ObjectDock Plus are enhanced often...", now that's not quite true, it is? Sadly, there have been many updates internally made that help existing situations (like tabs losing their "on top", etc), however unfortunatly ObjectDock is at the current moment stuck inbetween development places as it moves to 2.0, and has been for quite a bit. While progress is continuously made in pieces, it is awaiting that period of several-month-focus that is going to take it all the wa

I have already mentioned the bugs that I am experiencing here: https://forums.stardock.com/356997/get;2272620 so this is just for visual explanation of those that can be pictured. Remember, I'm using Vista Business SP2 and OD+ 1.9 build 535u. Onto the bugs... a) Icons in a dock that's for taskbar are either minimised incorrectly or sometimes just don't show <img style="floa

It's not officially supported and it's not without bugs, it would be much better if you were to try the same actions on a copy of Windows XP (if you have one).
Dock settings > Dock contents > display system tray icons...., but they didn't show.
So you're not using a tabbed dock for your system tray icons. Have you tried doing that? I have the same build as you, but either way works for me, so I'm curious about the cause of your issue. Have you tried uninstalling, rebooting, installing, rebooting and trying to select that option again? That build is a beta build, have you tried using the stable 1.9 version? <span

A lot of bugs have been mentioned in threads in the forum so I think it's worth you checking them out. From personal experience, the amount of bugs was reduced when I moved over from XP to Vista, but the ones that remain are just as bad. My build is OD+ 1.90 (535u) on Vista Business SP2.
but but possibly only if the version with 1.9 beta versions fixed is 2.0
Yes, sir. All the signs so far indicate towards this being the case. You ask two interesting questions :) As Bichur pointed out, OD+ license is a lifetime one, as in you can keep using the product for as long as you want, but you only get the point updates gratis. There is a bit of controversy there though, because one did get the 1.5 -> 1.9 update at no charge, but in order to obtain a version that has 1.9 bugs fixed one will likely be asked to part company with some greenbacks. At least that's the current policy as per FAQ that Bichur quoted.

Let's have a bit of a speculation and let's have a look at the facts as well, shall we chaps? The speculation that I am talking about is my thought that Stardock knows that, as far as desktop dock software for Windows is concerned, they are such a dominant force and, since there is little in the way of competition, there is also less incentive to improve the software. Sorry, but I call it as I see it. Now onto the facts. Version 1.5 ha
