ive heard of Sins being run on Chipsets with out any trouble... given, they were playing it on lowest of low quality everything... but it ran no problems... i, personally, never experience any such problems, even on full out, massive maps with multiple races and what not...
Hmmm I run on a 4GB machine with 32bit Vista. I have 8800M GTXs in SLI (in laptop so note the M), I've tried multiple driver
Are you saying that it has something to with computer power? Perhaps with video cards having to handle textures for four different races?
Maybe I'm wrong, but I got the impression that currently with everything out we started to run out of memory to run the game, but there are mods out there that add races so perhaps it's possible. I always thought that the reason I start losing special effects end game, i

We pretty much deffinately will never see a 4th race unless either Sins goes 64 bit only or the game limits that only 3 of the 4 races can be in a game at a time. Neither is going to happen. @Annatar11 they already added in a 3rd race [e digicons]XD[/e]

Why are you asking Brad? Why are you writing in green? Why are you assuming all people don't care about single player when in fact they are the majority of Sins players? Why are you asking the question, admitting you don't know their motives and yet instantly claiming it to be the most stupid add-on they have made? I don't get people like you.

As a single player gamer I only play Entrenchment since buying Entrenchment. In all honesty I can't remember well enough to say if the AI was harder before the expansion. My experience is that I often see the AI do some really good defencive work on it's worlds, use of mines and starbases near the edge of Gravity Wells which ensures I take some losses if I rush in or if I have to retreat quickly. It maybe over defends, but I'm a turtler at heart so I can forgive it for tha

I don't get people who say it's not the best AI they've seen. I've played countless RTS and Sins is the best AI I have encountered. When you get experienced at the game, a couple of games, maybe more, the AI will start to need to stack odds in his favour to make a challenge such as stacking teams or higher difficulty levels that cheat. Par for the course with RTS though. As for cheating online I'm not a multiplayer player but a frequent forum user and
Out of curiosity, how is Arma 2 coming along? I ran in to some bug issues with the demo, but it looks like several patches have since been released.
It runs a lot better on my PC now. I don't encounter any bugs personally but they have improved the AI considerably. They stopped dead units telling other AI where you were and reduced their hearing so now the AI are not hyper aware of everything. A friend and I have been playing the campaign co-op and i

I have no internet till Saturday so last weekend I played The Secret of Monkey Island Special Edition, Arma 2, Resistance 2 and Wipeout HD.
Tane, tournaments arent necessarily about winnign every game just having the most favor points. Its really not hard to get more favor points than anyone else even on the losing team.
If only it were that simple. The tournament deliberately puts the AI with the lowest favor points on your team and gives them retardo AI. So it is always going to be a battle with the second place AI to the end.

Just preordered myself. One thing that REALLY puts me off about strategy games is when the game is so complex I'm just overwhelmed with understanding what impact my actions are actually doing and I don't understand why I'm losing. The idea being that if I'm in from the early days I will get eased in to understanding the game as some of the best games I've owned have been turn based.

I'm pretty sure Hortz is just trolling so I'll address the OP.
1) Diplomacy: diplomacy, both in Civ or MoM, has never played a mayor role. This thing should change (and it can be made without making changes to the game engine, or graphics). Having lots of options and opportunities for diplomacy, as well as having "metrics" to measure the impact of your actions, etc, would be a great add. Knowing, for example, that my Djinn, stationed nearby an enemy city, is worr
NEOTOKYO
I play this also, it's awesome, feels like a classy evolution of Counter Strike. It deffinately deserves ladder play, shame so few people know about it. Even when I told friends they weren't interested enough to install it and I know they would love it, I don't get it.

There is a drastic difference between Hard and Nightmare, too much really. And that game was over for your before it begun because the Rook AI is kinda like Timmeh out of South Park, watch him try and run, it's pathetic. Hard tournament is Normal AI on your side with Hard on the other side, this is doable though cause the AI is still dumb. When you go Nightmare you have Normal on your team with Nightmare on theirs there is no way you can stop the Nightmare f

I'll wait till the final game to decide but aren't there quite likely to be a lot of graphic mods?

Played Aion mostly, didn't go crazy as I never do with MMO betas but played it enough to realise preordering it was a very good idea, eagerly anticipating it's release now. Also been watching the Korean 3v3 tournament videos which looks pretty awesome, I just can't commit to a class in my head yet :( Also I played a little of Majesty Gold and one game of Blood Bowl for the league I'm in. Given up on Blood Bowl public play, it's totally rife with disconnect cheating. <
That's a shame. I really can't deal with the fact that there's an advantage the other players will have against me totally besides the skill difference.
It's really not a big deal, the 2nd item in the list , the 400hp, 5hp/s and 10% death penalty item is very close to as good as any other item you can get. Just get that till you can get your desired item is my advice.

@OP You know, you make a really good point, not one I really thought of before. I used to always get the Phase Missile research and the other weapon trees didn't get touched until I had money shooting out my ears and I had got all the good stuff. The other weapon trees are terrible, Phase Missiles tree improves everything I actually care about. Enforcers are an afterthought in my fleets anyway later game.
