Les Hazelton, Yes you can download and use Impulse all you like. You can even have it and Stardock Central installed at the same time with out issue. If you don't like it you won't have to use it. However please know that eventually Stardock Central will be replaced by Impulse. Let me know if you still have further troubles or you can also contact us at support@stardock.com.

Are you having a dissapearing cursor or is the cursor consistantly going behind windows? That is acutally a Mircosoft Z ordering problem. I would be interested in seeing this though. What video card are you currently using?

Yes we allow for PayPal purchases like the one you describe. However one thing you should watch out, more so if you use Express pay, is that if the email address is different than your Stardock.net account with PayPal the purchase may get registered to the wrong email. If that does happen simply write into sales or support to have the accounts merged. Just something I wanted to give you a heads up about!

I didn't get a chance to do much testing today but I did find some more notes about this issue. Can either of you (or both) send a copy of the same game file (placed before the instance that you are having the problem) and the crash report to support@stardock.com please? I would very much like to make some notes on it and forward it on to the developers.

I have let our Q&A department in on this issue. I wasn't able to replicate this same problem but I did pass along was what happening here. If we find the problem I will post some more information. A few quick questions and suggestions. 1) 32 bit or 64 bit Vista? 2) Video drivers up to date?

Here is the full scoop as of today. IconPackager 4 was released yesterday. This is a new product on the store, “IconPackager 4”. IconPackager 4 is $19.95. There is also an “IconPackager 4 (Upgrade)” with Product ID ESD-SDS-W424 for $9.95. Users who purchased IconPackager since February 1, 2007 get it for free. Both Stardock Central and Impulse are on the 4.00 version of Icon Packager now. Don't worry about the last group of numbers in the version as they are only there for developer catalog and don't mean anything for the software (even though you can "update" to them).

Icon Packager 4 went up on SDC later this afternoon. If you do not see the update be sure you have restarted SDC. If you still do not see the update in versions click on Tools > Settings > Internet > Refreseh XML Data and you should be all set!

We tried VMWare but in the end went to BootCamp. When it comes to Mac questions it is good to be able to talk to Apple themselves. For the record VMWare worked fine but BootCamp was a little easier.

Spartan53 - please allow up to 24 - 48 hours of responce time for your tickets. According to the log you sent in the ticket at 11pm EST. That would be a problem. When Stardock Central or Impulse looks at your account each game needs the game preceding it to be registered. So for Dark Avatar to download and install Impulse or SDC needs to see that Gal Civ 2 is on that account as well. Twilight follows in that logic and order as well. Let us know if you still have further troubles after that.

I wasn't able to replicate that problem DroneFragger. To clarify you are putting agents on the planets that are just barely inside the fog of war? What happens when you explore only a bit past the planet and then attempt to "spy" it? Also I assume that this is with TA installed?

Ok just to be sure, uninstall, restart, install Impulse and use it to download and install a fresh fully updated version, restart again before running the game. Then see if the option comes up for you.
