Honestly SD, if most of the new monsters are along the lines of ninjas, then I may have second thoughts about the pack. LH is a fantasy game and IMO, ninjas really don't fit. So, as others have requested, please provide a "changelog" of the DLC's contents.
I'm personally lobbying for sharks with laser beams DLC. Haven't heard back from Derek yet though.
[e digicons][/e]
OK, we have zombies, now we have ninjas, might as well add in the pirates while your at it.
I was thinking the same thing.... I'm surpised they didn't include handsome vampires or new twilight tiles [e digicons][/e]
OK, thanks for the clarification everyone! And here I thought I had come up with something revolutionary. [e digicons]8C[/e] So is LH/FE unique in this regard, or do most modern games function that way?
Indeed. I thought this is already being done. There is a multiplier into how much damage is done as per the number of troops there are in the unit. Likewise, when you produce a unit with more troop, the associated costs increase as a multiplier of the number of troops in the unit. It's why the 4 stack of mages is sooooo powerful when equiped with glyph stones out of a Fortress with Heart of Fire enchant.
A regular unit is made up of multiple soldiers. So as the unit sustains damage, a number of soldiers in that unit die. It would logically follow then, that as the unit loses soldiers, the total attack of the unit should decrease. This effect should apply to all units (including monsters) that are comprised of multiple individuals. I think this could help reduce the "one hit" kill that happens in the mid to late game. Thoughts?
Sorry, wrong section...
-1. For all the reasons stated in other posts.
Double post, sorry.
I don't think there are enough low level items in the game to make them all unique. You need to get a duplicate every once in a while. Like I said earlier, it would be nice if completely useless items, like the stone mace, are less common than more useful ones, like accessories.
But how difficult would it be for SD to increase the number of low level items, thus decreasing repetition? It would be pret
Woohoo! Will we have to start a new game to get the AI changes?
Yes.
Yes. This issue has been raised a number of times before. During one of the beta versions, the wages were lowered, but they were bumped up again and never revisted. Fot that reason, I never bother to build a camp. But really, they aren't useful except as some early game meat shields, so no great loss. But if you want to use them, I believe you can change their wages in the xml files.
You have to go into the xml files and delete them.
My first hero always stays in the sovereign's stack. If possible, I choose a healer hero. What path I choose for him depends on his abilities, but I like to make my first hero go down the defender path. My second hero starts a new stack, which goes exploring to gain xp and level up, and then "stays home" to guard against wandering monsters or enemy. AI.
I find myself going back to CIV V because even though it's less interesting as a concept, the game at least works. It feels like a finished product.
I bought CiV 5 last week during a Steam sale, played a few games, and I can honestly say that this iteration of Civ is bland, lifeless and "dumbed down" relative to Civ 4. IMHO, LH (and FE) blow Civ 5 away.
in my current game, I keep defeating an AI hero after he destroys the same resource again and again and again. Like an annoying fly that just won't go away. I would love to have a way to perma-death AI heros.
WASD? What aplication would Stardock do? [e digicons][/e]
I would like that too.
I like this idea!

How insecure must someone be to feel the need to brag how good they are. There are a million different games out there. Just put LH down and move on. I don't agree. A player should be allowed to ask the developers for more chal
I would like to be able to form an aliance with an AI faction that has a higher power rating than me. Right now, they'll only form an alliance if you could crush them...which makes an alliance little more than an offshot of a conquest victory.

Over 100. Not sure of the exact number, haven't checked in a while.
Can you give us two broad based hints? Are these games multiplayer? Are they RTS? As a TBS loner, I'm hoping the answewr is "No" to both questions... [e digicons][/e]
If I could, I'd still be using XP. Not everyone feels the need to have the latest and greatest, or be early adopters. And sometimes the latest and greatest isn't... But there is a difference between natual obsolecence, and planned obsolecence. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Planned_obsolescence
Quote: Also, if you have an existing copy, y
