No, there is no way to get 1000% miniaturization. Marcathonas is just trying to be the loyal fanboy and defend Stardock's every decision, good or bad. I have to say that a miniaturization-cap at 125 seems very low since Yor will have 140 miniaturization from technology and one Hyperion Shrinker alone. IMO the cap should be removed (if it even exists, haven't noticed it myself) or at least be increased to 150 or something so that the Yor actually benefit from all their miniaturization stuff,

Zoomba, your post doesn't make much sense after Frogboy's journal and reply. Yes, I'm aware that they probably had a budget for 1.1 but that's at most a couple of months and it's apparently empty now. And as for his reply in this thread: Once the expansion comes out, we'll be continuing to provide updates to that
So basically, all the talk about years of updates was empty hype. We have to pay at least an additional 20$ for those updates (and more expansions will mean even more money). Well, that makes this game no different then every other existing game with an expansion. I actually thought that you had a budget for updates but now I see that the people at Stardock don't even get paid for updating the main game. Yes, I will probably buy th
Stop being so gullible. You actually believe that someone has got five 700%-research buildings in one game when no-one else has ever seen it? I'm quite sure that he has mistaken his 300%-research tiles for 700%.
I voted yes but that yes depends on how much I will get for those 9 dollars. I would also like to see all the wrong hardpoints fixed in a update. I don't know about the others but Yor have quite a few. Shouldn't take too long time for the art-people to do that. I've seen this around quite a bit, and I'm rather confused by it, being an American. </T
The government screen still says that different governments gives a production and research bonus when they in fact don't. Should be a quick thing to fix.
Right. I usually go plus a couple hundred when I build it and my income is increased to a couple thousand so it's quite noticable with the amout of taxes I usually have in a large game.. And I seriously hope that the building is nerfed. It's like a delayed win-button.
It gives you a 100% economy bonus. I'm always amazed how anyone can fail to notice that all their taxes have been doubled.
Yes, please make the minimap a little less annoying. All the other UI-changes sound great.
While we are doing this... Drengin 1.10 AI. Seen through espionage. http://img89.imageshack.us/my.php?image=drenginai17hq.jpg Useless building a farm on a pq4. PQ10 without any factories. Drengin conquered it from Drath 2227. The year is 8 Apr 2230. http://img146.imageshack.us/my.php?image=drenginai20jv.jpg PQ11 Drengin planet without factories captured from Drath in 2227. Maybe the problem lies in the Drath AI. http://img146.imageshack.us/my.
Wow, some really worthless advice in this thread. Like others have mentioned, buy the factory immediatly and then produce one ship/turn.
Yup, I have noticed that too. Annoying but no game-killer.
No idea. I don't think it would be any more unbalancing then the other bonuses. A 100% economy bonus would be equal to two regular tiles with economy buildings, just like every other 100% bonus.
** Colony Management List ** It would be nice to be able to focus the different planets on military/social/research here.
What's the problem really? It's not like you play a hundred turns and suddenly discover 'oh my god, I can't see any buttons!!!!!!!!'
Either that or disable the option to start with all races having a CLOSE relationship to selcted race. To be labelled as a cheater for finding a new way to win quickly is not enjoyable. Why didn't you have them all as allies? That way, it might be possible to win on turn 1 (or at least 2). I don't know if it's possible though because I'm not lam
Yes, it's stupid the way it is now. You either shouldn't be able to choose the abilities that will lower your bonuses at all or they should stack properly with the inherent bonuses..
I am at a loss on this one, it didn't seem to make a lot of sense from either a logical or gameplay stance to me: Can no longer steal techs that belong to a different ethical alignment So you think that it's reasonable that evil civs could build Neutral Learning Centers? Or that good civs could build a No Mercy Invasion Center? <
Not true. I often run my military at 0% (when I have a fleet that is plenty big enough anyway) and I still churn out ships from planets that have completed their social projects. That only works on planets where you have focused on military production.
I also like the autofocus, since I zoom out all the way anyway and don't play on very large maps. I don't want to hit the find-button or tab all the time one of my ships has finished moving. But as long as it's an option, I don't care.
The game sometimes doesn't recognize a newly built factory on a planet, the number of production units just stays the same as before. For example, in my current game (it's very early on in 2225), I was building a basic factory on a colony, and just when it was completed I discovered xeno industrial theory, or whatever is the name of the tech which upgrades basic to "normal
What does it matter whether it appears in 'Recent posts'? It will still appear in the forum, though a couple of minutes delayed. Am I the only one who always enters the forum, since the 'Recent posts' often is a couple of hours delayed instead? /Tired of all the bumping.
I had hoped that you would have fixed the bugged diplomatic movies now that you released a new movies-build and all. 7_trade00.bik and 7_trade01.bik should switch names. 5_trade00.bik gives graphic errors in-game. And please take a look at this thread: https://forums.galciv2.com/?ForumID=274&AID=116282
Uhh, what are you talking about? You can name your saved games. Go into options, press the load/save-button, give it a name and press save. I'm quite perplexed how anyone could miss that.
What's wrong with the Railgun VI? It's one point smaller than its predecessor. Both Railgun V and VI comes from the exact same technology, Mass Drivers III. No reason to use version V.
