Latest Start Menu Update Bricks My Computer

Before the 7/7/26 Start Menu update everything worked fine.  After that update, whenever the screen saver kicked in, the user interface (UI) froze,  The only way to enable the keyboard, mouse, etc., was to depress Ctrl+Alt+Del, and then click cancel (or the task manager button).  Today, after the installation of the 7/28/26 update,  Ctrl+Alt+Del no longer has any effect after the screen saver appears.  The only way to use the computer again is to reboot it.  Disabling the screen saver and setting screen timeout to 'never' has no effect on this behavior: Ater a short period of keyboard, mouse idleness, the UI becomes inert, and the only way to use the computer again is to reboot.

How do I restore my my computer to normalcy?

Multiplicity does not work on my system.  I have 3 computers.  One is my main machine and the other 2 are backups, which during the cold weather process work units for MilkeyWay@home and Einstein@Home.  The first of the backups has an old motherboard and Intel CPU on which only Windows 10, BOINC and Multiplicity are installed.  When I try to access that computer from my main machine using Multiplicity, when I click on the (native) start button, the UI freezes.  I have never been able to usefully access this computer with Multiplicity after many hours of trying.  The second backup has an only 2-year-old motherboard and AMD CPU, on which I run Windows 11, BOINC,  and Multiplicity.  If I give both my main computer and the remote the same password as the first backup has, the two computers can't connect because of a password problem.  If I give the main computer and the remote a unique password, again the two computers can't connect because of a password problem.  Multiplicity will not access the second computer no matter what I do after many hours of trying.

After I posted a message on this forum about the problem with Multiplicity and the first remote, many days later a user responded with a request for a screenshot.  A screenshot of what?  A blank desktop?  A frozen UI?  How do I make a screenshot when the UI is frozen?  I can't debug like this.  Does StarDock have a Windows 10 machine to which it can connect with Multiplicity?  Does StarDock have an Ethernet network of 3 or more machines on which Multiplicity can communicate with all?  I have read and re-read every Multiplicity instruction I can find, and still I can't make the program produce any useful results.  I believe that StarDock has done no testing of Multiplicity.  Physician heal thyself!
