Problem with ressources placing on the galactic map: In my current game, I have a military ressource at the exact spot where launched ships came from my planet. Luckily, I was able to build a starbase before someone else claimed it. I wonder what would have happened if I have let another race take the ressource when I would

Other races trade routs do stay when you capture a planet (as long as you are not at war with them too, of curse) Which is silly. They if any should be cancelled because of military tension.
1) A ship without hyperdrive travels at speed 1. A ship with hyperdrives travel with at least speed 2. That's a 100%-increase. Huge difference. Same deal with range. Since the attacker always shots first, speed is a must-have. 2) You can't see when the planet population has reached it's cap dependant on planet quality. You can however see if you have enough food for more population-growth, 1 mton feeds one billion. And population d
You have to start a new game after having updated to 1.0X to be able to use them.
I would prefer it if they adapted the AI to the game instead of adapting the game to the AI.
I don't think it's such a big deal since these type of events effect ALL the races.
Some planets (low pq?) gets completly new terrainmaps when reloading a saved game, giving them a very weird look having lots of their buildable tiles in the sea. This one is new to me at least. AI:s still build 0 attack defenders middle-game (third year). Stops building an old design that has attack and designs a defender with 0 attack which IMO is a severe mistake. AI:s weapon-research, choice of weapons and weapons adapting still seem
As far as I know, the Mind Control center increases economic output by 100% and has no effect on culture or influence. We both know what the tooltip says and what the building is SUPPOSED to do, but.....yeah. Build it on your Economic Capital. Doesn't matter really where you will build it since it will doub
One irritating bug is that I see what custom ships I will get from technologies in their descriptions on the research screen when starting a game. However, if I save and reload, it's gone forever. Irritating now that I have a whole lot of custom designs that i reuse and have to guess what to research to make them available. Also, you missed an \n after the new 'More miniaturization needed'-text in the 'completed technology'-screen. For examp
Download the latest beta.
After you retro existing scores, what happens to the scores that are submitted after which are not 1.1+ versions? Will you be able to submit 1.0 games after the final 1.1 patch? Will those scores be retrofited daily or not be allowed to upload? They shouldn't be allowed to upload after the patch has been ou
Attack rolls are between 1 and max damage. Defense rolls are between 0 and max defense.
In your My Documents folder. However, I think that the clear-button works correctly in Beta-3 and will reset the race to the default.
Whether it's rational or not, I feel that you have ripped me off for the money I handed out. I made the assumption that if #1 has multiplayer, #2 would have multiplayer - geez, how stupid of me ! I really should have gone and read your forums before I bought it - not ! It should have been clearly stated on the box - "This game pr
That's because no-one, save the orignal poster, has posted anything negative. And you discredit people who really like, and will defend, stardock for making a great game? Pfft. Why should we listen to you, when you can read things from people who enjoy this game, have no problems with it, and will defend it, and say "Oh, those fa
It's my belief that there are two types of customers who spams the forum without posting anything constructive to improve the game, whiners and fanboys. I have seen a couple of fanboys but no whiners in this thread yet.
I have also had invisible stars in the only beta-3 game I have been playing, it was metaverse.
Actually, yeah. I tried to imagine a situation where "continue game" would only be available from an in game path and could only come up with accidently exiting to the main menu. I do believe the game asks for confirmation before exiting to the main menu, so that shot that. You tell me why they would set it up the way it is.
1. THIS IS DELIBERATE. It's to stop people from save/reloading and changing the outcome of a game. I'm quite sure this is wrong since the AI doesn't produce anything during this turn either. Easily seen in the manufacturing timeline, every race's manufacturing drops to zero for that turn. So it is pointless if it's deliberate. <TABLE cellp
1) pop growth doesn't seem to be at 0.2 B/turn anymore. when settling a planet with 20 colonists instead of the 500max (0.5 Billion), growth is excruciatingly slow. -definitely prefered the simcity2000 model of population growth, spontaneous=) 2) taxes seem to decrease as the population grows. ie, with 500 millio
My first impression is that the code that determines the initial weapons-type for the different races is bugged. I though it looked weird in my first test-game so I speeded through the first two years in five more. The results: 37 missile races, 9 guns, 5 beams. Missiles was present in all six games and was the only weapon in one of them. Guns was present in two and beams in three. Guns and beams weren't used once in the same game.
Mind Control Center easily. Someone else posted that it gave a planetary bonus which is wrong. It gives a 100% economic attribute bonus meaning that it will nearly double the taxes income which makes all the Psyonic weapons suddenly seem cheap.
Now Another thing that I am curious about: why in the Gods of the Universe game do I start with 160 lop(load out points) but in 2 seperate saves, about a week apart(real time) I have 172 and 184 lop? Hyperion Shrinkers. Each race can only build one and they add 15% miniaturization. You can also have mu
Nice whiny rant there. However, If you think for about a second, you might realise that if all scores are lowered, then those 29k might mean a lot more then they used to.
