+ techs now appear in the foreign report window as espionage is done on alien races (fixing problem of not knowing enemy techs when tech trading is turned off)

The developers has confirmed that it's the text description that is wrong, it's only supposed to increase the economy.
Unchoose the 'Show pre-release versions'-button in the bottom of the screen.
To be fair they shouldn't be researching trade in a 1on1 situation anyway their aim should be to conquer there opp as quickly as poss not trade with them. I almost never trade with others but I always research trade fairly early so that I can build an Economic Capital.
#3. The ability to set focus to military, social, or research production on a global scale for all planets. There are many times that I want to focus on building social buildings or military when I'm about to go to war, etc. It's a pain going through each colonly individually to set that. You can already do
One improvement I would like to see in tech research is that instead of neutral races now researching Invention Matrix which costs 2000 rp, they should be more likely to research Xeno Ethics (if they haven't already done so) and Neutrality Learning Centers for 1200 rp. NLC costs the same to build as IM, has the same maintenance but can produce 6 more rp/turn. So it's a superior strategy and it would be nice if the AI had a high probability at intelligent level to do this. It would be
About the whole refund thing... some of you can't take a joke well, or recognize one, I suppose. Ahh, the joke-excuse. Read and learn. Definition of joke: a humorous anecdote or remark intended to provoke laughter. It's extremly hard to recognise something as a joke when it by the
Sadly my guess was correct. The only torian ship that is adapted to my weapons seems to be his medium ships and he is the only AI that currently uses them. His other M2-6-designs, his defender and Heavy Fighter, were identical to the other races designs. His defender hadn't any weapons and his Heavy Fighter had one Particle Beam.
I loaded my saved game from yesterday. I should say that this is of course on tough difficulty, I have also disabled techtrading and minors and I use blind exploration. Let's now take a look at the new M2-6 designs. Note that I'm at war with the Torians now so I cannot look at all their new ships in the trade window. Terror Stars are planned for the expansion pack, only this time (for UI and ease of use purposes) will only destroy planets. Thank you for that. I'm looking forward to blowing up some planets.
i've posted about this before. the "officia" stardock response is that this happens because of tech trading. If you want to test this, turn off tech trading and try it out. I'm playing my current game without tech trading. And it's a bug, I can assure you and everyone else of that. All the AI:s went from (at the time) good weapons, beam
I haven't yet researched any defence. And I don't play with tech trading. I did in a previous beta-game but it made no difference, they were all using the same weapons and defence anyway. I have a request. Everyone that comments AI weapons & defence from their own games, please tell whether you are using the beta or not. I think that this was broken in the first beta-version. Before that, I saw lots of variety between the races.
Yeah, I too have a couple of invisible stars in beta-3. Here are my debug.err if video-card has anything to do with it. This was of course supposed to go into the bug-forum.
good beta-patch. Though IMO a severe fun-killing bug is still hiding in the code somewhere making all the races specialise in the same weapon and defense at the same time. I think that betas are turned off initially in the latest downloadable version of Stardock Central.
Well, since the computer doesn't continue the game once the player has lost, it would more often than not be impossible to determine which AI that would win the game.
And they are great. But I prefer my psyonic weapons.
There is a population cap depending on planet quality that isn't shown anywhere in-game which you have probably reached. However, you can still transport people to the planet and fill it as long and they won't die as long as you have enough food. Question: What do you mean with first version? If you mean the retail-version, then you should install the 1.0X-upgrade, available either from downloads or Stardock Central.
The political party descriptions are now incorrect for Pacifists, Populists and War Party since you changed their bonuses.
What's the deal with Intensive/Advanced Farming both providing 8 mt/wk? I know that this is a simple XML fix, so what's keeping you from fixing it? And Intensive Farming costs 10 to build while the earlier farm, Xeno Farming, costs 100 and Advanced Farming costs 150.
Does it actually give the name of the Starbase that's about to be upgraded? I don't remember that, but it could be my oversight. Yes, in the latest beta. Not in any earlier versions.
The effect also shows up under abilities in the Civilization Manager where all the empire-wide bonuses are listed.
I also did the same test with Torians. No bonuses whatsoever except logistics. No population growth bonus is shown in the abilities tab after having started the game. No wonder that the Torians have so much more population than the Thalan if they get a pop.growth-bonus that is invisible in-game in addition to their 20% pop.growth & 25% morale from race picks.
