I tested resetting the Drengins, removing every bonus except logistics. Now it showed that I had +20 morale so it seems that it's a bug that don't list this native bonus on a default Drengin. Weirdly enough, it said on my homeplanet that I +25% morale bonus from native ability, shouldn't it be slightly lower than 20%. And I would like to add that it would be nice to see these unchangable native bonuses upon choosing a race.

But researching Ethics allows you to make all the best planet decisions AND still be whatever alignment you want. I believe there is a cost implication, but why suffer a long term economy hit through a planet decision when you can later swallow it in a short-term cost? Then obviously the cost needs to be higher if this is an exploit that lots of pe
IF the player plays as the Drengin, they get those bonuses too. No, they don't, or at least it isn't shown. I tested right now to be sure. I get +20 by default. When I choose the abilities tab, I can't choose +20 morale because it's already chosen. Besides, it would cost 3 points and I have only got 1. And if I change anything I lose my Weapons
MOO2 had ship design AND tactical battles that were simple and fun and had player choices that affected the outcome. Yes, there was a choice in Moo2. Do the battle yourself and don't lose one ship. Let the computer handle the battle and lose half your ships. IMO not a fun choice. And Moo2 ship design, that was really "fun"
They will be in 1.1
Yes you can. No, you can't Seriously, test it yourself. If you choose Drengin with +20 morale and choose the alignment tab, you will note that the +20 morale bonus is already chosen. Thus it's impossible to have +40 morale without governmen
I've never lost my special abilities when I've changed governments. I play the Yor too, so it would be pretty obvious. I have also had this happen to me a couple of times. And I play Yor. Irritating to discover that you have lost your +100 loyalty in the middle of a long game. Nowadays, I always check my ab
Frogboy has said that they will be in 1.1 You will just have to wait a little longer.
If I understand correctly, the score is calculated each turn and nothing prevent it from decreasing if you play too many turns. I don't know if it is a good idea to penalize people that play very long game due to the fact tha the sweet spot is not an easy thing to detect. Could it be possible that your metaverse score corresponds to the best score you have done at any turn
There have been a few changes to improve the good alignment in the latest beta of 1.1: + Neutral civilizations won't discount relations with good players anymore (why be good? because good and neutral civs will tend to like you more). + Being a good civilization gives you more bonuses with neutral and good civilizations in terms of relations
They aren't available in the retail version. They were included in the 1.0X-patch.
Example: Drengin get 20%. Another 20% from picks. 20% from party and you have 60% morale ability on turn 1. But the player can't do that. So if the AI does that it's kind of cheating or playing by different rules. You can't choose so that you get more then 20% (25% for Torian) morale from abilities for any of the default races.
Note that there is only one person that has seen the bug so far (that I know of). I did a quick test. Began a new game, kept my morale below 75% and just hit the turn button. turn 1: 5.0B turn 2: 5.075B turn 3: 5.15B turn 4: 5.225B This equals approximatly to a 1.5%-increase. I had 8.7 billion people on my homeplanet after one full year. Same test but with 100% morale. turn 1: 5B turn 2: 5.15B<br
So far in the beta, I have been keeping a very low tax (~22-26%) and building early entertainment centers where it is needed so that I have 100% morale on all planets. I usually buy an entertainment center on my homeplanet the first turn. After some time, I have had more than double the population of everyone else except the Torians. How much of an impact does m
Torians have a 25% morale-bonus in addition to their population growth-bonus so that's probably why their population is so much larger than the Thalans. It's very possible that they have a lot of planets with 100% morale in the beginning, effectively doubling their growth rate.
Don't start praying to him yet. All he did was press end turn over and over and... He made his own topic about it: https://forums.galciv2.com/?ForumID=162&AID=111271
An easy and to me obvious fix is to subtract a number of points each turn. As a quick example: e^(0.1 *year). First year: 1 point lost per turn 200th year: 485165195 points lost per turn.
No, it won't.
1. I'm pretty sure the answer is no. It says in-game that all further espionage is meaningless. 2. Depends. If it's a colonisation event, it's planet-only. You can see the bonus or penalty if you go into planet details. There are also moral choices that happens randomly that effects the whole race, these are shown in stats-abilities. 3. There is a button in the lower left, just above where it says what technology you are researching. You can also press 'P' and then where yo
Governments are mislabeled. Yes. Hopefully the devs will actually change all the descriptions for the governments in the final 1.1 They are extremly good at fixing bugs and adding content, not so good at fixing bugged or incorrect text. It's understandable that people are reporting it as a bug when the descriptions are all wrong.
Yes, they are all defaulted to federalist on the choose-race-screen. But that is for when you choose which race and government you are gonna be. When the code is creating the other races, it doesn't take into account anything that is on the choose-race-screen. You can change a races party, starting abilities, name etc. on this screen but it doesn't make any difference unless you choose to play it. All AI races will still be the defau
No idea but I would gladly play it since I never bought Altarian Prophecy.
I have had multiple medium ships with over 200 hitpoints in 1.0X. Don't know what level they were but if it's one hp/level, then they would have been around level 170.
If you have the latest beta, you can actually chance this to the way you want it in options.
To be honest, I'd go one step further - the bonus should only apply to Attack/Defense types the ship already has (ie, only get a Shield bonus if the ship has Shields) and the bonus should be a percentage. A percentage would be a very bad idea. With a very low percentage, military starbases would be completly useless in the beginning and extremly powe
