This type of issue is usually caused by a security application interfering with the file being downloaded. To workaround this problem, you will need to either add Impulse as a trusted application, or if nothing else, disable the security application temporarily. You may want to be aware that Stardock Virtual Desktops is unfortunately not supported on Win7 (32 or 64-bit). See here: https://www.stardock.com/products/vwm/

swekenchu: I've ensured you have been completely removed from the mailing list. I apologize for that. Mike
I see what you're referring to. I will submit a feature request to the Fences dev team in regards to the persisting dragability of the top portion of the fence even when the fence label moves to the bottom. Mike
I apologize that you have continued to receive promotional mailings despite the fact that you had opted out of these. I've just gone into the database and ensured you have been removed, so you should be all set at this point. Please do let us know if this persists. Mike
Could you submit an email to support@stardock.com and reference this thread? It sounds like we may need to do some debugging with your problem. Mike
Impulse Anywhere unfortunately only provides products published by Stardock. Supreme Commander and it's expansion were published by THQ. You are correct about archives only supporting the OS on which they're created, so I would suggest waiting until you upgrade to create the archive. Mike
There was a mixup here related to the mailers at that time. If you still have this problem in the future, please let us know either by posting here, or emailing support@stardock.com or sales@stardock.com Note: You may unsubscribe from promotional emails at any time from the following link: https://www.stardock.com/subscriptions.asp Mike
You could also grab Process Explorer , find the Explorer.exe process, double click it and look under the "Threads" tab to see if it indicates what is using all the CPU. Mike
I will pass along your feature request. Mike
Really? At what point did Fences establish a connection? Are you sure it's not somehow related to something running on your system, perha something offered here http://www.comodo.com/ (perhaps their personal firewall?) I just opened tcpview and didn't see any open connections with Fences. I use tcpview fairly often too and run fences all the time. Mike
Actually, I would suggest contacting Snowball.ru... they are responsible for providing a proper serial. You may want to send an email to support@stardock.com as well with the serial number you received, just so you have that on record with us. Mike
It sounds like there might be some kind of material/texture rendering problem.. Try updating your video drivers from nvidia's site and see if that helps: http://nvidia.com Mike
If I remember correctly (it's been so long since I've uninstalled), I am pretty sure it will apply the default windows theme on uninstall. If not, you should be able to force this through the display properties -> Themes tab, anyway, since WindowBlinds fortunately doesnt require hacks, as 2of3 mentioned. Mike
WinMonster2: Well that is certainly not right. You have a subscription that is good for a couple years still. From within Impulse, click on the help button and go to "About Impulse." What does it indicate is the version there? You might try closing and reopening Impulse to see if that helps, too. Mike
Hmm, might Rajesh care to explain what this has to do with Object Desktop? [e digicons]:dur:[/e] Mike
Which skins are you attempting to use? If you still have the problem even after updating, could you please post your updated WB System Info? Mike
That's not a bad idea for a feature. I'll submit it to the ObjectDock developers for their consideration. Mike
If you right click the desktop, go to personalize, click "Window Color" and then click "Advanced appearance settings...", I believe one of the options under the "Item" dropdownlist should control the color you're referring to. Mike
Which OS are you running? This type of behavior reminds me of some spyware I've encountered. Are you able to access the Internet Options through the Control Panel? Are you able to open Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc) or run regedit? Also, do you have any skinning software running (if so, which version(s))? Mike
mitche323: It looks like your activations have been reset. Just following-up on that. In regards to the activation limitation, yes, there is one in place (given the amount of time), but 98% of legitimate customers will never even knew it existed. For those that do run into it, I believe it actually asks for you to contact support@stardock.com. Whether posting here, finding someone in irc or sending in an email, all methods are sure ways to get that reset. Mike
To anyone else interested, merging accounts is a frequently asked about feature. This can be done here with ease: https://www.stardock.com/support/registrations/ Fun fact: this is a popular resolution for many who have used Paypal to purchase products. Mike
skyzyk: Do you recall the update that was applied that seems to have resolved the issue for you? I still have yet to reproduce this problem on my own Win7 machine, but it may potentially help the situation others are experiencing. Mike
You might try running this (from Internet Explorer): http://sd.stardock.com/mike/apps/enumerate_startup.bat and posting the startup.log file created on your desktop. I have run applications in the past that would instantly turn off Aero because they were not compatible. Mike

A good game, indeed :) I imagine you should come across at least a few people as we just had a very decent sale on this title. Mike
