Disabling the "Create Fence / Create Folder Portal here" pop-up when dragging with the left mouse button

Hello,

I tried looking in the FAQ but didn't find a thread about this issue, so forgive me in advanced if there is one and kindly direct me to it.

I used Fences in its v0.95.0 version many years ago, and recently just purchased Fences 6 as the old one didn't support high DPI text appearance on 4k monitors.

I discovered that in the new version, you can either drag with the right mouse button to creating a fence (the original behavior), while you can also drag with the left mouse button, which is quite annoying when you just want to select some icons on the Desktop, and I can't seem to find any option to disable it and to just keep the right mouse button for fence creation.

Does anyone have the same problem?

Thanks

I'm having a related issue with this gesture as well — I opened a separate thread about it here, in case it helps consolidate feedback for Stardock: https://forums.stardock.com/541915/subject-option-to-fully-disable-right-click-fence-creation-gesture#3995069

In my case the right-click drag triggers accidental Fence creation, and I'm requesting an option to fully disable the gesture for both mouse buttons. Seems like more granular control over this feature would help several of us.

Gee, it was just all the way down there and I missed it. Thank you so much!

As per @Mask-95 issue, I actually agree that there should be an option to disable the gesture for both mouse buttons in case they're conflict with the user normal usage, and perhaps implement a custom way to creating fences, such as by holding a modifier key like Ctrl/Alt/Shift while dragging with the preferred mouse button - maybe even with the middle mouse button if one finds it more suitable.
