I don't know that this is a planned feature, necessarily, but the best time to make feature requests is during the pre-release phase when all of that is still being decided and worked on. I will suggest your feature request to the developers. Thanks for the feedback! Mike
Basically I just want to know what version of DX you get if you buy Object Desktop. I was also wondering about the license. It says with Object Desktop you get a 1-year subscription. Does that mean after the one year, you no longer receive updates? Or does it mean you no longer get updates AND the software you already have expires(assuming you don't renew for another year).
DesktopX 3 release and DesktopX 4 Beta are currently available. With an Object Desktop subscripti
From within Sins... Options -> Video -> Enable the checkbox "Use window mode" Mike
If you do buy from Amazon (or any other retailer), just be sure you're not buying it used -- it can make the situation complicated. Mike

Implementing semi-transparency is trivial. You just get an image for your layer and set the opacity on it. To get a blur effect, however, this would be a lot more work. If what you want is a standard window, it's probably easier to write a plugin that spawns a window. That way, it will inherit all standard app properties and make your life easier. It's just writing all the desktopx interfaces to your window that would be additional work. What were you looking to do with this w
I don't believe this is a promotional price, but c'mon, do the math: If you bought 33 Sins Expansion Bundles, that would be $1 you saved; you can do a lot with a buck! [e digicons][/e] Mike
Unfortunately you will only get decent speeds using Impulse, rather than Impulse Anywhere. I will suggest including MD5 checksums on the Impulse Anywhere page. Thank you for your feedback. Mike
Yes, but the aspect ratio is important, otherwise you may end up with either black bands or a distorted video. Mike
No problem [e digicons][/e] Mike
Which theme is this that you're using and from where had you retrieved it? Also, what OS (including 32-bit or 64-bit and servicepacks) are you running? Mike
Happy Birthday [e digicons][/e] Mike
Requirment Play tutorial first!!!!
I will second that. Also, turn off pirates and maybe put another AI on your team to begin with. You'll get better -- it just takes practice. [e digicons][/e] Mike
The "Show Desktop" windows feature actually just has windows paint the desktop over everything. It doesn't actually minimize anything here. Try using Win+M instead and you should have better success. Mike
Diamond12a: Ah, I didn't see your post here. Could you please submit an email to support@stardock.com and reference this thread? Mike
Diamond12a: Are you having this issue? Mike
Unfortunately if you're tied to XP, this is your only recourse. Maybe get your parents interested in DeskScapes so you can get yourself some funding? :) Mike
So you can choose where to archive? Didn't know that.
Blue button at the top left of Impulse -> Preferences -> Folders . You can update a few different settings from here, too! [e digicons][/e] Mike
Close out of the launchbar. Hold the windows key and press R. Copy/paste this in there: %userprofile%\local settings\application data\stardock\desktopx From there you can just delete the subfolders, which will essentially remove all gadget/widget/object settings, or, if you're more adventurous, see if you can find specific files pertaining to this widget and delete those. My guess is something got screwed up in the settings, which is why it's not displaying anymore. <
If you are logging in with this account, that would be the reason why they are not showing up -- you have no registrations under this account. Did you maybe have an embarqmail.com email address? If so, please use the following tool to have your accounts merged: https://www.stardock.com/support/registrations This will merge your two accounts into one so that all of your products may be accessed from a single login. If you do not have access to one of your email addresse
Or more specifically, only at the point when a registration is added to your account and it will show up within Impulse, available to download. One suggestion, be sure you enable "Show pre-release versions" within the Impulse menu (click the blue button at the top left of Impulse). This is not set by default and many people aren't even aware of it. Mike
Is the Multiplicity service installed correctly and running: Try downloading this (via Internet Explorer): link Run that as administrator and see if that maybe helps your problem. Mike
Could you maybe provide a link to the cursor you're referring to? Are you saying that cursors are showing up within the CursorFX dialog, but that it doesn't show a preview of what the cursor looks like and does not allow you to apply it? Which OS (and 32 or 64-bit) are you running? Mike
I would suggest contacting the publisher here: http://www.egames.com/support.php?mode=2&id=59 Mike
This type of issue is generally caused by a security (antivirus, antispyware, etc) application interfering with Impulse's download. When the downloaded (modified) file is then compared against what's on the server, it obviously fails. You will need to either add an exception/exclusion for Impulse to your security software or you will need to temporarily disable this while downloading and installing. Mike
