After reinstalling deskscape, I started the computer in safe mode. Then I started the program. It asked me for the license number, I clicked submit and now it works fine. I will cross my fingers that it Continues to work.

I followed the instructions and it didn't work. The Deskscape Configuration screen still comes up and freezes. There are a couple of issues I need to make you aware of. 1. I install the program on my D drive. The bat file looks for directories on my C drive. So I had to change the bat file to look for directories on my D drive and I ran it again. It looks like it deleted everything but a few files (see #2) I Installed the program and it still doesn't

I recently upgraded my hard drive. So I have been reinstalling my software. I uninstalled and reinstalled Deskscape and now when it comes up (after booting) the deskscape configuration screen comes up and freezes. No button works, including the end program button (X button). I have to bring up the task manager to end the program. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times and nothing works. I am downloading the program from My Account on the stardock

I was able to fix the cutting off of the first letter of the icon title by increasing the size of the icons. However, I still think it is a nice idea to be able to set # pixels between icons so that you can change the size of the icons and it still space correctly.

Greendot, No sure what you mean by "Windows 10 Virtual Desktop."

Thank you AZDude. You are right. It is the popup but it is how Deskscape handles popups because it doesn't do it with still images or Windows Theme images. Only does it with moving Deskscape images. For now I have prevented the program from starting with Windows, but that is not a long-term solution. It is a password database program that pops up when I start the computer if the program detects an update. It is not browser po

I have some programs that do a popup window during computer bootup. Most of the popups close on their own but I have one that doesn't have an automatic close. You have to close it manually. When I have an active video Deskscape on my desktop (as opposed to a still image) I can't close that pop up window. It acts as if the popup window does not have the focus - Fences instead has the focus. When I click on the "CLOSE" button on my popup,

Thanks AZDude. Yes, Fences works fine with static wallpaper. Its just the animated stuff that it doesn't. I just learned you need to pay money for Deskscape 10. Is it just randomly that Stardock decides to charge you for updated software. I know when I went from Fences 2 to 3, there was no charge. I really don't like to reinstall software, so i will first try the Deskscape 10 to see if that fixes it.

basj, thanks. No where on the website does it say you need to pay for Deskscape if you already paid for it. Couldn't find anything that says what you just told me. Every other website I buy online software (pretty much every software now, even Windows) has a message, i.e. "If you already own XXX please click here" and it tells you what to do. Sometimes you get the software for free, sometimes a discount, sometimes there is an explanation like you gave above. But nothin

Can't seem to find the upgrade to Deskscape 10. When I go into account/my downloads it seems to want to download my old version (8.5). When I go to the software link, I don't see a way of letting it know I have already paid for the software so I don't get charged again. Do I download the free version and it will automatically recognize my license and activate the full version (some software upgrades work this way)? Can someone please let

I am confused. I don't have the latest version of Deskscape yet you want me to reinstall Fences, not Deskscape. Shouldn't I first get the latest version of Deskscape installed and see if that is the problem before I reinstall fences?

Thank you AZDude for your help. Love your Deskscape Dreams. You are very talented. Yours is the first question everyone asks. "Do you have the latest of everything?". Yes, I have the latest of everything. Win 10, latest version of Fences(3.09.11), latest version of Deskscape (8.51). However, this is not a "latest version" problem because someone had this same problem in 2016. I realize my post was long, but I already mentioned tha

How about fixing the glitches in Fences. My biggest are: (1) you cannot set the "# of pixels between icons" so when icons have long titles they overlap causing a jumbled mess that makes Fences unusable, (2) I think this is related to my first glitch. The first letter of the icon title on the left side of the portals (boxes) gets cut off because the icon is too close to the left side of the box., (3) When you use Deskscape AND Fence

This has been discussed before, but I can't find a recent forum comment about this issue. The newest I found was 2016. So I am writing a new one. The suggestions given in 2016 don't seem to work. When I use Deskscape at the same time as Fences, my desktop icons do not go away (hide) when I double click on the desktop. I think I know what the issue is but don't know what the fix it. The problem is that Deskscape has a "Desktop Icon Transparency" settings.

For a while now, the first letter of the title of an icon is cut off on the left side of the fence square. No matter how I resize the fence it still cuts off the first letter of the icon title. Also I have some icons with titles that are 20-25 letters long. When the title of the icon is long, the title overlaps into the icon to the right. Oddly, there is no option setting about "pixels between icons", only pixels between fences. Also there is no option sett
