Cannot close desktop popups

I have some programs that do a popup window during computer bootup.  Most of the popups close on their own but I have one that doesn't have an automatic close. You have to close it manually.  When I have an active video Deskscape on my desktop (as opposed to a still image) I can't close that pop up window.  It acts as if the popup window does not have the focus - Fences instead has the focus.  When I click on the "CLOSE" button on my popup, the Fences icons unhide.  I know it is not Fences causing this because it doesn't happen with Still images from Deskscape or Windows Themes.  I have Deskscape 10.02 and Fences 3.09.11 with Windows 10.  I just got Deskscape 10 and I don't remember having this problem with Deskscape 8.5.

Anyone else having this problem?.  Any solution?  Right now I am preventing that program from starting up on bootup, but that is not a long-term solution.

Thank you

Clearly the issue here is the pop up not Deskscapes.

No One else has reported any such issue .

What is the pop up ? program ? search and delete or check it's settings

to not start up with windows.

Have you run a complete Virus scan , etc. Browser set no pop ups ?

Thank you AZDude.  You are right.  It is the popup but it is how Deskscape handles popups because it doesn't do it with still images or Windows Theme images.  Only does it with moving Deskscape images.  For now I have prevented the program from starting with Windows, but that is not a long-term solution.  It is a password database program that pops up when I start the computer if the program detects an update.  It is not browser pop ups that have a problem ( have the "prevent popups" setting on my browsers)

After writing my previous comment, I noticed that pop-up tray notifications ALSO won't close when Deskscape is active. I.e. Norton Security has a "you need to do your backup" notice when I haven't done a system backup in a while.  The notice stays up for about 30 seconds, but I can close it sooner by clicking an "ignore" button.   But I can't close it sooner because when I click the "ignore" button Fences unhides instead.  It seems to be just windows that popup by themselves, not windows that I have started.  I am surprised no one else has complained.  Maybe this is a rare issue with popups that require manual closing so people don't notice it.  It could also be something with the moving image is flooding the mouse channel(bear with me, I am not a techie) so that windows can't capture the mouse click fast enough.

Do you have any windows that automatically popup when you start the computer that you can test it with to see if it happens to you?  It would have to be a window that either requires manual closing or has a button (or the upper right corner X) that allows you to close it sooner.

Thanks

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues.

Agian Deskscapes is not the problem.

check your system and see if this helps .

Please try the following:

-For Win8/10 Users: Open the Start Screen, and type 'cmd'. Right-click on the search result and select 'Run as administrator' from below.
For Win7 Users: click Start, in the start search field type 'cmd'. Right-click on the search result and select 'Run as administrator'.
-Type: sfc /scannow
-Wait for the scan to complete (this can take several minutes)

In addition, please also run the following command in the same elevated (Run as Admin) command prompt window:

dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

The above command should assist with replacing any damaged or problematic system files. Please note, however, since it may require restoring certain files, this process can take some time and you will need to be patient until it has completed.

Please let me know whether this resolves your problem or if you have any additional questions.
