do you have desktop icons hidden? using iconX? cleared all web items? not sure about vista, but on xp it won't change if the icons are hidden, using iconx basically 'hides' the icons and overlays iconx's

dialup with an accelerator?

uninstall LogonStudio delete the whole logon studio folder in: C:\Program Files\WinCustomize reboot get a new download and install LogonStudio open it and click - new give it a name then save it close logon studio, then go look in the folder to see if those bitmaps are there

uninstall any trials and reboot 1st

Impulse = downloader Object Desktop Ultimate = just the name given to a suite of various applications - those applications being separatly known as WindowBlinds, IconPackager, DesktopX, etc == those apps collectively known as Object Desktop Ultimate when bought as a bundle

change them for some decent ones from the gallery

not gifs - png strips check the od gallery - there's an animated shortcut docklet you can use (and change with your own strip) there's 2 that look the same (both have a spinning globe) - one is just an example and can't be used for a short cut - the other is a shortcut that lets you use your own strips

also check in the zip to see if maybe there's more than one size in there...

I don't have that issue since i don't have that extension Not at home to try, but.. I have WBlinds also which you can set to have windows minimize to tray instead of taskbar - I seem to recall using it and ODock it would minimize and come back... just not real sure so, what we have here is failure to communicate... on the good hand we also have an opportunity to: BUMP </span

if you have stardock central, open the setting and see if enable sdmcp tray notification support (something like that) is checked - that tells smcp to run at start

could be firewall or if you're on dialup - could be proxy what type of connection do you have?

sounds like maybe you have both a shortcut to it in the startup folder and have it checked to run at start?
