Does anybody have an answer to this one?
My other question was if I could install the software on the desktop but only for one user (me) and for it not to be available or set up for other users (my son). I want him to be able to click on his name and have it look exactly the way he left it (ugly XP with hundreds of icons on the desktop -ugh - but that's the way he likes it!). And I want to click on my name and have it set up with windowblinds, cursorfx, ob
when he signs in, he'll just see the Windows XP setup?
if all is unloaded on his side and until he clicks: start > all programs > stardock on the other hand since it would only be while visiting from school, seems it would no different than a guest account - which should be okay cuz if he decides he likes it he can bug you to buy him his own subscription
crap i knew when my browser hung, it was gonna double post
it's free chocolate all round!
Woot!
i forget what it's called - impulse to go or something basically you can't download what won't run on the os you on i'm on xp and i can't download and archive logonstudiovista - won't let me but with the other (impulse to go) - you're supposed to be able to download and archive (with another impulse archive) all your apps - stick them on removable media - put that into the computer you want them on - then use the downloaded impulse to restore those app
I'm using 6.0.2900.2180 why - because U.N.C.L.E. says I will yepper, not everyone can update things

you can find it here by clicking 'my account' > 'registrations' (not at home so no impulse0
free version or plus version? (ain't finding that option in the free and I don't have plus)
if it's being used by dtx, obar, odock etc (depending on your version) running those will cause it to run
uninstall via impulse - reboot - reinstall via impulse - reboot
Thanks Wiz... been putting with it since 2003 SP2 full version - download and save - 33+ hrs and I find it somewhat irritating and sad that so many people live in some imaginary world where broadband is a given everywhere... anytime someone has an issue due to dialup and downloads they all jump in shouting get a better connection... just noticed... Impulse at this post says me karma is 117, at WC it's 120, at SDC its 66
links still good if you take out the 2 yr old extraneaous information and shorten it to: https://forums.stardock.com/76163
what OS? 32 or 64? impulse set up or impulse full? any antivirus or such running?
tell us you're not on dialup...
impulse should automatically detect your registrations from what I've read - i'm still using sdc once it logs you in, it should say it's available have you looked at 'my account' > 'registrations' under your name at the top of the page here to see if your serial is listed?
I think maybe just fixed for Vista, XP SP3 here and my CD Drive icon never gets skinned, can do it in individual drive mode but alas that will not hold after a reboot.
yepper, same here on XP sp3 - won't hold
your situation is similiar to: https://forums.stardock.com/344710 you might want to send a email to support
that sound more like you installed the trial than your sub running out - when the sub runs out, you get no more updates, but you still get to use the latest version was it the same version that has been installed that pops up the message now? or did you possible 'update' after the sub ran out which could mean you actually installed a trial?
or on XP = right click desktop > arrange icons by > uncheck show desktop icons == poof they're all invisible (but still in your desktop folder if needed) - only adverse is it may effect wallpaper application in various programs
or create a shortcut to something in the folder - then edit the path line to leave out the object - resulting in a path to the folder or open that folder, then copy the address to it and paste that in for your shortcut path in ODock
and did you revert back to default prior to uninstalling? (you can't run it, then uninstall it hoping the theme will stay) totally missed the 'trial part'... [e digicons]8C[/e]
