This issue appears to be with the explorer context menu option Pin to Start (Start10) which I am assuming was configured by Start10 application installer. Maybe there is a simple way to fix this context menu option so it will use the user pinned folder in user profile and not in temp folder like it is doing now. If this context menu alone cannot be fixed then, will this issue be fixed, if I purge and reinstall Start10? If yes, please send me instructions. Also is there a way to backup and res

I followed your instructions, did a clean boot and ran the batch file, but the issue is still there i.e., when I pin to Start10, the shortcut for pinned application is placed in the incorrect folder instead of in the profile folder. I pinned the same app to Start (not Start10) and it was pinned to the Start menu as a tile.
I created a new administrator account. Pinning to Start10 worked fine in that account i.e., when I pin to Start10 the shortcut is placed in the correct user pinned folder.
I'm using Windows 10, 64 bit, version 1803.
Thanks. This is what is happening whenever I pin to Start (Start10). Please let me know how I can fix it. Whenever I click to add a folder or an app to pin to start10, the pinning is working, but for some reason the pinned items are saved to c:\temp\new folder\User Pinned\StartMenu instead of %AppData%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\StartMenu. How can I reset the default user pinned folder to %AppData%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\
Hello, When I click pin to start (start10) for an app, the app link is not pinning to start menu. I am using latest version of Start10, Windows 10, 64 bit. How can I fix this issue? After I click on pin to start (start10), I went to the userpinned folder in my profile and I don't see anything in the startmenu folder. Thanks!
When I have notepad window on 2nd monitor and I click on the + sign to add a new tab, Groupy moves the entire notepad group to primary monitor and then adds a new tab.
Thanks. I can do that, but will I lose my desktop layout and fences settings. If yes, how can I backup and restore them after reinstall?
I have latest version of fences installed and whenever I right click on desktop, windows explorer crashes. I noticed this does not happen when fences is not installed. Did anyone experience this issue and how can I fix it? I'm using windows 10 64bit, fences 3.09.11, and I have dual monitors.
I'll do that next time it happens. I encountered this issue in the previous versions as well and it appears that this has been reported by other users too.
Groupy bug: I have 5 excel files grouped together and when I click inside excel files 1, 3, 4, or 5 the mouse cursor jumps to 2nd excel file and 2nd excel file gets control and it is shown i.e., groupy tab switches to 2nd tab. This is very annoying and frustrating. The only way to fix it is to close and reopen the 2nd excel file. This happens randomly. I am using windows 10, 64 bit, Groupy 1.16, and office 2016, 32 bit.
The options displayed for Colors on Visuals settings page are different on Windows 10 and Windows 7 PC, both 64-bit. On Windows 10, I see 8 options that can be selected, but on Windows 7, I see only 3 options. Is this an issue with Groupy or intended behavior?
For Windows Explorer, Groupy tabs have full path as the label for tab and most of the path is cut off or not shown due to the size limitation of the tab, as a result, it is impossible to determine the path of the tab before clicking it, which is important otherwise it is a trial and error clicking all tabs until you get to the tab you want to open. It would be nice to be able to have an option/configurable setting to show either entire path or just the folder name and also to show the full pa
Yup, I agree.
I have 2 separate windows of Windows Explorer and I selected (focus is on) 2nd window and I open new instances (windows) of Windows Explorer and the new windows are always grouped with the 1st window instance. I'd like new windows to be grouped with the selected window. I did not test this with other application windows, but my guess it's no different with other application windows.
I followed your instructions and installed 1.15 RC, but the issue was still present. I did some more testing and made an important observation. If windows explorer is in a maximized window state then a tab is prevented from being dragged out of the group. You can only drag a tab out of the group if window is not maximized. In my opinion we should be able to drag a tab out of a group regardless of window state. That said, I want to reiterate my frustration with Groupy not working or mi
It is unchecked. Is anyone else having this issue?
Issue: Windows Explorer windows are grouped, but I cannot drag a tab (window) out of a group. The only way out is to ungroup all windows which is not desirable. There are instances when I want to ungroup only the selected/active window-I need to be able to drag any tab (window) out of a group using mouse and also there should be an option to ungroup active tab in the context menu of a tab and/or on the 3 dots groupy menu. I haven't tested this with other windows/applications, but I am
I am using latest 1.12 version.
Well I am not sure because it works in other version of MS Office: 2013 and 365. I am hoping Stardock support will fix this issue.
One more issue. The "Where should Groupy position the tabs?" setting is not working for MS Office Professional Plus 2016 applications. I have combine if possible setting selected and I changed to Always place above setting, but Groupy tabs did not change position on MS Office application windows, but they did change for Notepad windows.
Clicking the + button opens a new tab, but it opens C drive. It would be great if it opens whatever I option I configured in windows explorer to open when it shows a new window or at least have an option in Groupy to allow the user to specify what folder to open i.e., This PC (My Computer), Quick Access, C drive, etc.
Happens in both cases: automatic grouping via rule and manual grouping. Another issue I noticed just now was I had two windows explorer windows grouped. I closed one tab and the other one got resized to like a 1-inch by 3-inch rectangle and I had to manually maximize the window.
This happens with some application windows. If the affected application windows are in a group then this happens, but if I exclude them from grouping they behave normally (in terms of window size).
I can confirm this happens not only with windows explorer but with any application. Say I have a group of windows and all of them are on 2nd monitor. I move the group to 1st monitor and close the active window tab and the group goes back to 2nd monitor.
