I'm guessing you mean selecting colors from the offered choices? Then, no. Nothing worked.

Terribly sorry I neglected to state I had already tried all that.
Start Menu > Config > Visual App Change Start menu colors use auto: off pick color: selected select item accent color: selected -- but it doesn't change. I can't figure out how to select the color I want rather than the ugly color that is appearing. Thank you! That solved it. Last question: is there some way I can mark this solved?
I have no idea what I did, but my fences are faded when my mouse is not hovering over them. How do I disable that? I've not been able to find the option. Windows 10 / Fences 4.1
Fixed. Apparently, using a PNG formatted image was problematic. When I changed it to a jpg and rebooted, the new image showed up fine. Problem resolved in Start11 as well. Thank you.
Followed the directions at https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/profile-photo-not-showing-up-in-windows-10/edd1dc46-acbf-445b-a59c-2e5270ea119e and while it reloaded in Settings, it did not appear in the Control Panel or on the menu (either Win10 Menu or Start11) <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/foru
It also doesn't display the avatar/icon.
I uninstalled and reinstalled. The results are identical.
My husband purchased Start11 for 5 devices. My computer is 1 of those devices.
Software is telling me I'm running the most current version. Is it possible my hardware and/or Win configuration means I am not eligible to update to a more recent version? Also, I'm part of my husband's account so it's not listed as a download option in mine.
No, I do not. I do have Fences3. I also noticed my laptop, with both Start11 and Fences3 is fine on both issues. I'm wondering if there's some file(s) I might copy for the configuration from one computer to the other which might resolve these issues?
I noticed some time ago that my user icon is not displaying on my start11 menu. I fiddled with it a bit and nothing seems to have fixed it. Is this a bug? Meanwhile, I noticed one of my options was grayed out Start Menu > Configuration > Customize menu visual appearance Is there something I need to do (or undo) to make this option available? Maybe it's the reason my user icon is not displaying in the menu? Start11 v 1.31 (most recent update available)
Thank you, Basj. That was it.
I can no longer find this option in Start11. Any ideas how to resolve this?
As I already explained above, I did run it in incognito mode with no change in results.
I'm sorry, but I do not understand your reply. I have no idea what an "in-private" or "incognito window" means. If you are referring to using an browser window in incognito mode, that makes even less sense to me. However, I did open a browser incognito window and the result was no different. The only think incognito does is hide my IP address and any particulars needed to identify me. It has no bearing on scripts being used on forums.stardock.com.
FYI the dimensions mentioned are the maximum acceptable and my avatar is smaller. However, I made a new PNG at 100x100 pixels and 72dpi. Results no different. IMO this has nothing to do with my avatar, but a problem with Stardock's script which is responsible for this upload.
Have repeatedly attempted to upload a community avatar. I always get the error message, "HTTP Error." Any suggestions? (Have tried 3 different browsers.) File format is PNG. Size is 29kb; 91x100 pixels. Any suggestions? Thank you.
Thank you, everyone. All is working correctly now and restored with no problems.
Will I lose my prior fences setup if I follow those instructions? If so, is there anyway I can back them up? Unfortunately, this device is so old it's not easy to reconstruct how it was previously configured.
I have a very ancient Asus tablet running Windows. Recently I began using it again. During updates (Windows, Fences, Start 10), Fences was broken. It keeps asking me to update, which downloads, but doesn't install. So, I downloaded manually and installed the update. It also keeps asking me to enable, but won't let me enter the product key. In fact, at the point where I'm supposed to enter the key, it becomes "stuck" with nothing working and I have to use Task Manager to kill the app. Any sugg
Yes. The directory for C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs contains everything it should. Screen capture
Uncertain when it happened exactly (possibly after an update from Windows and/or update from Stardock), but every entry in my "All Programs" is empty and I have no idea how to get it back. Windows 10 Home, 64bit, v 1803 Start10 v. 1.61
