Community Avatar

Have repeatedly attempted to upload a community avatar. I always get the error message, "HTTP Error." Any suggestions? (Have tried 3 different browsers.)

File format is PNG. Size is 29kb; 91x100 pixels.

Any suggestions?

Thank you.

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues.

Not sure on this but it ask for 100x100

you have 91x100 , try 100x100 and see if that works ..

Then you'll know , report back here ...

FYI the dimensions mentioned are the maximum acceptable and my avatar is smaller. However, I made a new PNG at 100x100 pixels and 72dpi. Results no different. IMO this has nothing to do with my avatar, but a problem with Stardock's script which is responsible for this upload.

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.

Try with an in-private \ incognito window.

I'm sorry, but I do not understand your reply. I have no idea what an "in-private" or "incognito window" means. If you are referring to using an browser window in incognito mode, that makes even less sense to me. However, I did open a browser incognito window and the result was no different. The only think incognito does is hide my IP address and any particulars needed to identify me. It has no bearing on scripts being used on forums.stardock.com.

Hello,

From what I understand when a browser run in "incognito" or "private" mode. It always run in a bare-bone mode. ie. all the extensions, plug ins will be turn off. This will help determine if any of those extension is preventing something.

Thank you,

As I already explained above, I did run it in incognito mode with no change in results.
