Picking back up on this as the issue has relied dormant for some time, Lightstar recently modernized the Penthouse WindowBlinds theme, so when I purchased it, then went to apply the Cursor for it, I had the same crash as others have described. I also tried Leawh and had the same issue occur. Allow me to get the preliminaries out of the way. I am using Windows 11 Pro 22H2 OS Build

Mine is 14.9 Gbs. I have the room on my C drive, but I suppose I'm just paranoid about losing too much space. From looking at the folder, I feel I could comfortably place the skins on my C drive where WindowBlinds is installed. I guess I was too paranoid because I knew it was a pretty hefty amount of data. That's why I install most of my programs and games to other large SSD's in my system. I figure if I didn't have that policy for progr

Hello, As a person who has accumulated many skins over the years while using WindowBlinds 10, it became necessary for me to place all of my WindowBlinds skins on a separate drive from the drive WindowBlinds was installed to. I was able to do this thanks to RedneckDude listing for me all of the registry changes I needed to make in order for everything to work smoothly. I am very grateful to him, because he went the extra mile for me. Now that WindowBlind

Thank you DaveRI! I wasn't looking in my WindowBlinds directory. I was assuming it would be listed within its own Skin Studio directory (of which there are a few directly under a Stardock directory. In retrospect with my error message saying that it should be in my "skins" directory I might have extrapolated that it would necessarily be in a WIndowBlinds folder. It looks like my problems are solved!

Ok, You guys are going to kill me now (LOL). As I stated, I have relocated my WindowBlinds Skins to another drive. Sure enough, after installing skin studio, an error occurred. The installation went fine, I installed it to the default locations. The problem was when I launched the program. When I did, I got the following pop-up message: <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/68/74/6874621/f8408dbe-0647-4b90-98b9-e54f27bb3f7d.png" alt="

I did what JanOscar suggested and under individual products, Skin Studio was listed, so thank you JanOscar! I will watch the video basj uploaded, and hopefully it will help. Thank you for doing that. Just as an aside, I wouldn't mind all the individual programs being listed in a nested dropdown in the Object Desktop program itself. It would be nice to be able to download individual programs that are adjacent/included with products

I am still having problems getting Skin Studio to run. I have a current subscription to Object Desktop and therefore get WindowBlinds as part of the package. When I go into Object Desktop, I have no listing of Skin Studio listed like all the other programs listed in Object Desktop. I was under the impression that if you had downloaded and installed WindowBlinds from within Object Desktop that Skin Studio would automatically be installed as well. Seeing as there is no

Hi Everyone, I purchased Galactic Civilization 1 Ultimate Edition off of Steam, and after having to cajole it for it to install successfully, it starts up and plays perfectly. The problem I am having is when I quit out of the game. When I do so, I no longer can see my taskbar. If I move my mouse to the extreme bottom of the screen, even though I can see nothing of the taskbar or its icons, if I click where the start button is, the start menu appears

Just so you know, you aren't the only one. I use plenty of other cool Windows Blinds from Wincustomize, but sometimes I just want my computer to remind me of nostalgia. The whole reason I'm seeing this post is because I was looking for a Vista theme and couldn't find one. Thanks to Simplex Designs, and your post of course, I now know. Thank you everyone!

I have tried all three settings listed. The only one that works for me is "Use Media Foundation for Video Support - Supports smoothing". The others cause the same problem I was reporting before. So it would seem we've found a solution for what works on my computer. My only question is if the three different settings are indicative of levels of capability. Specifically, are they merely different, or are are some more advanced and more capable?

Hello, It's been 10 days since I wrote my last update on the status of the issue I was having. I was hoping to have heard back about what I could try next. I do have one bit of information to add to the issue. Since having done the procedure that I was asked to do, there is a small percentage of time when my issue no longer occurs. I'd say maybe 15% of the time. So when I move my mouse when the screensaver is active, the screensaver ends and the desktop

Hello Sean. I followed all the steps of doing a clean boot. One thing I neglected to mention is that I'm running a 4K monitor. What I found interesting was that after running DeskScapes following doing a clean boot, when the screensaver appeared, it did not appear fully on the screen. It only took up about 1/4 of the screen. Still, DeskScapes screensaver did run. Unfortunately upon moving the mouse, the exact situation that I've reported happe

I have no overlays running. I just have the driver installed. The Radeon software that gets installed with the driver is running in the background, but I have no overlays. To my knowledge, I have no other programs that should be in conflict.

I did all the steps you listed and unfortunately, it did not resolve the problem. I just wanted to say, I've never experienced a problem with Radeon either up till now. I don't think Radeon is the issue. I have no idea what the issue could be. Also, I just wanted to say that I use your DeskScapes all the time, and I think they are great.

Hello, I have downloaded and installed far too many skins that I don't use, and I was hoping to delete the skins I have all at once so I could install only the ones I want. Unfortunately, when I go into the app, I only have the choice to delete one skin at a time. I've gone though my logical progression of uninstalling WindowBlinds and seeing that after reinstalling it saw all the themes. I've gone through and tried to find all the areas on my hard drive that Stardoc

Gevansmd, When I upgraded to 1903 I had the same issue (though not as dramatic). I decided to nuke my hard drive and start from scratch. 1903 non-upgraded runs much, much better than an upgrade of 1903 in my opinion.

Just thought I'd throw my hat in the ring and say the lack of thumbnail previews after applying a WindowsBlinds skin is really hurting my flow. I never realized how much I relied on that. I'm sure you all are working on a fix, but in the meantime I'm thinking of unloading WindowsBlinds until I hear word the issue is fixed. I know Microsoft is to blame for switching things, but since we've bought a product that's supposed to skin, I have an expectation for the product to work

I love the idea of the games within the games creation tool. In the past I've considered getting the ACE RPG maker; but in the end, from what I've read, I was a bit intimidated and was shakey on whether or not it would be a good investment for me. If your product helps a person learn how to do it, while they are doing it, as well as is approachable, I'd definitely be interested. As for places I go for news on upcoming products, I go to Betanews, Majorgeeks, Ars Techa
