I tried a second time to activate Multiplicity on the new laptop and this time it worked. I still have a problem getting the communication to work. I have checked that the nework is set to private and enclose my settup below. To
I have previously used Multiplicity on two Windows 10 computers - My desktop was defined as the primary and my laptop as the secondary. After replacing my laptop with a Windows 11 laptop I downloaded Multiplicity to the new laptop but had problems getting it to work. Consequently I uninstalled Multiplicity and prepared to reinstall on both computers. First I installed on the windows 10 desktop defining it as my secondary (switching the
This is the snippet of my primary installation on my Windows 10 computer. The ipadress shown here does not match my secondary which is: 192.168.1.208. When I try to install Multiplicity on my secondary Windows 11 computer I get the following errors. <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/67/20/6720682/090855e6-12b6-47b4-babd-66beb21a135b.pn
My old Windows 10 laptop (secondary) has been retired and I want to install multiplicity on the new laptop (secondary) running Windows 11. My primary is on a Windows 10 Desktop and has the same version of Multiplicity. I downloaded the installation file but when I ran it (as administrator). I got an error window stating "Unable to open archive file 5". When I click OK on this I get a new window stating: "Failed self extraction". The installation stops there. Gratefull if anyone knows how to r
Problem fixed. It was the network as you suggested. Thanks for your patience. John
I have just changed the passcode on the secondary to match the primary but this did not help. When I chose "Add computer" on the primary and us the ipadress for the secondary I still get the error indicating that my network is set to public - as far as I can see it is not - see snipped above. John
This is the image of my primary after reinstalling the latest version of Multiplicity. You will note that the lefthand panel does not include the button KVM. I am certain about my ip-adresses: Primary: 192.168.1.201 Secondary: 192.168.1.104 If I select "Add a computer" on the primary I don't get the options

There was a lot of information on your link, however, I decided to follow the quick start instructions and deleted Multiplicity from my two computers. I downloaded new software (3.6) and reinstalled the app. I started with the secondary and then the primary. This resulted again in a suggestion that my firewall was set to public, however, as shown bellow this was not the case.
I just got my computer (Primary) back after a crash. Now the link to my secondary does not function. I have checked the firewall settings for Multiplicity and it is "Private". Can you advis
I was using the computer name when adding my secondary (seamless). I replaced this with the IP adress and this solved the problem. Thanks for getting back to me - I am up and running again. JSMcWilliam
OK. I run under Windows 10 and have other programs which seem to be able to communicate over my local network e.g. Flight Simulator P3Dv5.1 on my desktop and Aktive Sky P3D on my laptop. JSMcWilliam
I have been running this program since 2016 and now it ceases to function. I have downloaded the latest version (above) and reinstalled. I have checked the firewall and it is set to Private for this program. My IP adresses have not changed. What should I do? JSMcWilliam
I have been a user of multiplicity 3.44 build 00090 for over a year and am happy with the program. I have one problem area, however, concerning my flight simulator which requires me to turn off multiplicity when I run the simulator. The problem is with an addon called EZCA v2. This program allows me to create a variety of views in the cockpit - throttle, radiostack etc. and these views can be activated by key presses, 1, 2, etc. The views have to be created in an editor by zooming in and out,

I have just upgraded one 32 bit Windows 7 COMPUTOR to à 64 bit gaming computor and both pc's to Windows 10. I then reinstalled Multiplicity on the gaming PC keeping the other PC as primary. My mouse is installerad on the primary, however, the cursor disappears when I drag it to the secondary. The primary keyboard functions on both Pcs. I have tried replacing the mouse but this does not help. I have also moved the mouse to the secondary where it functions normally. My primary has a
