I know that TEC have the worst strikecraft, but what if it's max armor upgraded? I tend to upgrade damage on my Vasari and Advent strike craft, but have not had a successful game yet as TEC with strikecraft, and I think lack of armor research might be to blame :/

It used to be all bombers, now it's all fighters :/ Back when no one used carriers I would od all bombers and assassinate caps and destroy buildings and move on.
Only one thing u can do, more carriers. Anyone telling you to build soemthing else fails at seeing the obvious. Yes light frigates can kill carriers, yes flak can kill strike craft, but that's all those ships can do. Carriers can kill almost everything else. So you can either have a fleet that is useless at anything but 1 thing, or you can have a fleet that can multitask.
Up_In_This: If you have less ships than opponent you simply don't fight him, trust me man. If your opponent outnumbers you 2 to 1, you will kill 1 or 2 of his ships and see your whole fleet destroyed. Worse yet if you bring a capital ship to the fight, he will just sacrifice few frigates to see it destroyed. And lose pla
Yes it is intentional the way it is. But it does not work as intended, because any veteran player will simply not fight a fight they can't win. In MP only bad players lose fleets. Good players will just hold their fleet backand keep running away until they get a sueprior force or they wittle down the enemy infrastructure.
I would love such an idea too :) I loved playing combined control in Conquest: Frontier Wars, and Starcraft.
Swat911, it was already explained that the population ont he planet does not account for all peopel living on the planet, it is merely the amount of popualtion loyal to your empire. I prefer theya dd dedicated troop number, but when I originally thought this up it was for a mod.
jre u are playing beta sir. From a player who played Sins beta I can tell u it will get better with time. That's why I said Blizzard mantra, so they release it when it's ready.
It's a silly change thou, giving it more damage vs other frigate types as they stated previously they didn't like us using flak to coutner LRMs. Which was wonderful btw :( I still wish for a single gun anti-light frigate!
From what I heard about the current state of the Beta, I think aproving Blizzard mantra might be a good diea for this one!

Replays are totally busted. I just tried to watch an autorecorded 5v5. And well the game does not evolve like i remember. For one thing I'm 100% sure I did not fly around with empty drone hosts. And I know for a fact that I had 2 cap ships when I attacked my enemy's asteroid, one seems strangely missing. Those two "irregularities" are enough for me to conclude the replay feature is totally busted. I have not been able to spot any other irregularities in that repl

I don't know. While I don't like diplomacy in general, Sins diplo doesn't bother me. Thou the choices of missions could use a bit more Intelligence, overall I like it. Not you can't be friends with everyone. And sometimes I wish they didn't all offer me a mission at the same time hehehe.
Once you research the travel technology, just select a ship and click it directly into the middle of the wormhole and it will pop out on the other side. Takes a bit of fiddling first time, but after that it's painless.
The only reason RA worked was cause you could scrap the useless ships for cash. Now you cans till do it but if u do u still wont get the money back us pent on summoning probably, and you will not be able to summon more ships. So out of the 90 supply, you may only end up with 2 heavy cruisers and 2 assailants, rest all junk like skirmishers and carriers and flak. Thou I am not sure how the carrier thing will work after the patch. They may be so big and bulky, one will take up half the supply
Novalith can take out a colony in one shot, does something like 3500 damage unmitigated. As for a ship, on an asteroid (1000 HP) Marza with Raze Planet lvl 3 would do it fastest I believe, thou Evacuater might be a bit faster, but needs lvl 6. It's pretty close anyhow between the 2. Built up planets, you might need hysteria or 2 Novaliths to get it down fast.
Yeah I had worse! But that is a good example of a prime problem with the specials. Another problem is the specials are too infrequent to be useful. Why not have there be a 50% chance of a special at 50% and a 100% chance of a special at 100%? Would that really be that bad? Seriously. Also all specials with negative impacts should be seen before you explore. Nothing is worse than building 5 tradeprots and then getting -20% trade special...

I agree with raging amish, only thing you can crunch are the Damage upgrades, and even those get tricky. 10% is not simple 10% either, it means a lot more depending on the situation. 10% HP/HP regen bonus means a lot more if you are fighting under the cover of repair stations. Shield upgrades give you more survivability if you are advent vs the other 2 factions. Not all factions have the same availability of upgrades. Some have nice tier 1 upgrades, others need to wait for tier 3 for certain
