My concern is that I might not have any of the Stardock software installed at the time, so won't see any warning generated by software. That's why I was wondering about an email notification.

Two quick questions... I recently recieved a discount coupon from Stardock through my email. Can it only be used once, or can I purchase ObjectDock AND Object Desktop and apply the coupon to both? [edit: The coupon can be applied to multiple items that are all purchased at the same time.] Also, does Stardock send you a warning email letting you know that your one year subscription will be ending soon? Thx!
Any update regarding this issue? I assumed it will be fixed at the same time that the system tray issue is resolved?
Ditto... No change here.
How to catch a bear... You walk out into the woods where you know that there will be hungry bears about. Dig a large hole and fill it with ashes. Once you have the hole full of ashes, surround it with peas. When a bear comes around to take a pea, kick him in the ash hole.
Any updates regarding this issue?
Any update regarding this issue? [edit] This has been a problem since at least version 1.3... WHY isn't this fixed yet???
Unfortunately, I need to use the "Safely Remove" icon. If I copy files to an SD card and don't shut it down properly, my MP3 player won't see the last group of files that I moved to the card. This doesn't happen all the time, so I don't know if it's related to the Recycle bin being on one of my docks. Currently fighting with my hardware so I'll have to put off troubleshooting this further.
Often, when I try to unmount one of my USB drives with the Safely Remove Hardware icon located in the system tray, I am told that the drive can't be stopped. I just took a look with the SysInternals Process Viewer and I find that it's ObjectDock, with a file handle open to the Recycle Bin that's causing the issue. Short of disabling the recycle bin for this drive (which I don't wanna do) is there anything else I can do to get ObjectDock to release the file handle safely? <b
My RightClick wishlist... - Work for more than the desktop. In other words, allow for custom context menus on folder backgrounds, title bars, and custom context menus for different file types. - Allow tabs on the menu, to choose from pages of menus. - Custom Hot keys, and disable the first letter selection. Example: On my menu I have "Programs", "Paste" and "Print". Let me use "r" for programs, "a" for paste and "t" for print. When I press "p", nothing should happen.<b
Hrm... it's working OK now. Might have to do with the order stuff gets loaded at startup. It's been find for a few boots so I'm going to chalk this one up to to PEBKAC.
I use a program called "StrokeIt". It provides mouse gestures in Windows using the right mouse button. RightClick does not allow StrokeIt to operate. StrokeIt is sitting in my system tray, as it should, but right drags do not invoke the gestures as long as RightClick is running. Is there any way that RightClick can be set up so it will allow me to continue to use StrokeIt?
Thanks! I knew Stardock had something, but couldn't remember the name. Looks like it does a good job with the Desktop menu, but how about context menus on icons, or inside an open folder?
One thing that I wish Microsoft would steal from OS/2 is the context menu style. You right click the desktop or an icon and you get the usual menu of actions that you can do to that item. The part I like about OS/2 is that you can have multiple targets for a single choice. An example... I have Windows Media Player, Quicktime and Realplayer installed on my computer. By default, when I double click an MP3, it opens up Media Player. If I right click an MP3, two of the men
My dock has a recycle bin on it. When I enable drag locking I can no longer drag icon into this recycle bin. Is this by design, a bug, or am I missing something?
My example... - Desktop at 1920x1200 @ 32bit colour - nVidia 7600GT PCIe - Driver version 9.7.9.2 - One monitor - English (Canada) language setting I've been able to get the system tray to open ONCE. I believe I disabled the tray in the Troubleshooting options, rebooted and re-enabled the tray. Not sure if I rebooted again, or if it worked right away. It was gone the next boot.
For the system tray issue with ObjectDock, can we try and post some information for both those who it works and those who it doesn't... - Desktop resolution and number of colors - Video card type - Video card driver version - Multiple monitors? - Windows language setting (Control panel->Regional and Language Options)
Can someone explain why ObjectDock would not be included with Object Desktop? Is there some functionality in Object Desktop that does the same job as ObjectDock?
Is there a list of Stardock software with current version numbers and release dates?
Just wondering if Cursor XP can do this, or if this feature might appear in a later release of Cursor XP. I need to have my mouse turned 90 degrees counterclockwise due to an injury. Needless to say, the mouse can be a bugger to control, since up-down mouse movements move the cursor right-left.
deleting Font files from the Font directory to solve a problem means that his Tahoma Bold fonts can not be used until he replaces it. Windows replaced the deleted font almost immediately after I deleted it. It was fine after that point. <TD clas
No registry cleaners here... They are evil. I agree that it doesn't seem like a WB issue as it never asked to install a particular font, but I haven't used WB for long enough to know if fonts can come supplied with the themes that use them. Now that I know how to get my fonts back I'm going to go through my themes and see if I can find a cause for this. Believe me... I did look for any font settings that I could change. I'll post back if I find anything interesting.
I think I realized what I'm seeing. The main forum page lists the newest thread, not the last reply posted. ...Still, I did a forced refresh and didn't see my post.
Is it just me, or does the "last post info" shown on the Stardock Forums page never update? For example, It's 23:33 and I just posted to the WindowBlinds area as a reply to BigDogBigFeet, who posted at 20:17. The last post info for that area shows that the last post was from milkman6453 at 14:49.
Yup... No sign of WindowBlinds in the Task Manager. Still got 8pt Tahoma in Outlook. Before I installed WB I made sure to save my (then) current theme. I've loaded it and everthing is back as it was before EXCEPT for Outlook. The message lists, the folder lists, the text in the "To...", "CC...", etc buttons on the compose window, the text fields in the compose window... all in 8 pt Tahoma. Even the status bar at the bottom of Outlook is in Tahoma, but something larger th
