Lock Dragging = No drag n drop on recycle bin?

My dock has a recycle bin on it. When I enable drag locking I can no longer drag icon into this recycle bin.

Is this by design, a bug, or am I missing something?

Hi Simon,

Correct yeah this is a known issue - we're looking to address this in a future release Thanks and we hope you're getting good use out of ObjectDock!

Any update regarding this issue?

[edit]

This has been a problem since at least version 1.3... WHY isn't this fixed yet???

Any update regarding this issue?

I assumed it will be fixed at the same time that the system tray issue is resolved?

Just throwing in my 2 cents.. I'm using version 1.90 of ObjectDock and am experiencing the same problem as mentioned above. My other Major problem is that you can't empty the recycle bin from the dock without right-clicking and then choosing "dock entry properties" then clicking on the "empty recycle bin" button. Also, when i double click on my docked recycle bin: nothing happens, besides it glowing for a second.
I can imagine these are hard fixes... But can't ObjectDock / Wincustomize just come out with a new Docklet to help all the people waiting for the build fix?

If anyone has any information I'd love to be informed. If someone is trying to code a docklet that will work as a temp recycle bin till Stardock fixes said issues: I'd love to be a tester

I'm new to this service, but I assume my email address is listed somewhere

edit:
Here's why I'm so interested- I enjoy having 0 desktop Icons, only using docks.. but the recycle bin issue is the only problem so far.

Since the last update we have had many feature requests/ tweaks. We have also identified some bugs. It is very time consuming to put out mini packets to update features such as this and delays multiple fixes. However we are very hard at work on the next update. While there is no set time line you can be sure it is getting done as fast as humanly possible.

Understandable, thanks for the speedy reply.

In that case, is there a Post pertaining to Docklet development? Specifically, ObjectDock1.90+ docklets? I've tried searching and found no matching posts.. But I may have missed it

Man, I'm posting like mad today - sorry

Okay peeps, I think I found a temp fix to the recycle bin problem:

WWW Link

Unzip to %dir%/Docklets/RecycleBin , reload OD, and then substitute this new dock (lower on the docklet list than the 'default-entry') for the default RecycleBin docklet.

This docklet allows you to have 'Lock Dragging' enabled on your docks **joy**
It also lets you right-click and empty the contents.
Also allows you to have the option to be "warned" that you're deleting something (hey, some ppl might find this useful )
In addition, it still allows you to use your own Icons for empty and full
Lastly, it tells you how much KB/MB/GB is currently in the Recycle Bin

My OS is XP SP2 - I really hope this helps the ppl who are suffering the same problem as me.
