Are you telling everyone here there is no version of Object Dock available to you at all?
I can download and install one of the other versions, but they don't work correctly on 64bit Vista. Anyhow, I don't want to turn this into an argument, I just want to get back to the same setup that I had prior to troubleshooting the missing tray.

I don't see an ObjectDock log file. All I can find is the INSTALL.LOG from when the program was first installed. Also, Stardock Central still cannot find the file to download.
I'm trying to fix the "no systray icons" issue on my Vista 64bit machine. For some reason, when I choose to install ObjectDock Plus from Stardock Central, it reports that the file is not available. Logs look like this: -- [Application] ---------------------------------------------------- Name: Stardock Central Path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\SDCentral Version: 2.54.524, buil
I'm not at the previous beta because SC can't find it to download it. I click the Install button in SC and after a few seconds I get an error saying that the download is not available. [e digicons]:'([/e]
Oooops... Vista Home Premium 64bit with SP1 applied. Guess I'll open a ticket then.
LOL! I just tried to install 537 in SC and it's not available. (Logs are in the fix thread mentioned above) Guess I'll just need to try again later.
OK... I'm trying to move back to build 537. I've uninstalled, rebooted and am now in SC. I have selected v1.90i[b].020 and tried to install. I recieve an error. The log contains: -- [Application] ---------------------------------------------------- Name: Stardock Central Path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\SDCentral Version: 2.54.524, build: 167</spa
I will try again, but why do I need to use SC to get 537? Why can't it be available via Impulse as well? Impulse may be prettier, and have much better functionality, it ain't worth crap if Stardock keeps putting stuff in SC and not in Impulse.
The "go back to the non-beta version" fix did not work for me. Still no tray icons with 1.90+ b535u. Windows Vista Home Premium 64bit with SP1
Check out this post there's a fix for this problem.
No joy. Still no tray icons after reverting to the non-beta object dock and rebooting.
I didn't do any updates at all lately... Impulse is at version 3.02.305 (images: 3.02.152) OD is at version 1.91k[a].025 and the last update was August 5, 2008. My tray has been working up until a couple days ago.
I am trying to get TELNET.EXE to work on my 64 bit Vista system. Right now, if I use CTRL-R and run cmd.exe I get a command prompt and this prompt can find and run TELNET.EXE. I also have a shortcut to CMD.EXE on an object dock. When I start the command prompt from the dock, TELNET.EXE will not run (and can't even be seen during DIR commands). I noticed that the environment variables between the two command prompts are not the same. These are different: <p style="PADDING-
I currently have ObjectDock v1.91k[a].025 installed on my PC. The PC is running 64bit Windows Vista Home Premium. Video card is an ATI 4850 video card with the latest drivers. Sometime in the last day or two, the OD system tray has stopped showing icons on my screen. I still see the background of the tray, but it's not very wide, since there are no icons in it. What can be done to bring the icons back?
If I go to the Stardock forums through Impulse, I don't see the ObjectDock forum. Where is it?
I use Google Apps to host the email for my domain. It works great, but I cannot find a Vista gadget or DesktopX object that can check email for my domain. Does anyone know of a decent gadget/object that will do this? If not, how about a SystemTray app? Thx!
That seems to have worked... What I had originally done is created COPY's of the icons found in my Start menu. Even after correcting the path in the shortcut it still didn't work. Oh well.
I have Windows Vista x64 Home Premium installed on my PC. I recently purchased and installed ObjectDock. I have several folders set up containing shortcuts to program that I use. Many will not start because "The specified path does not exist". If I click the folder and choose "Folder: xxxx" the folder opens normally and I can run the software from the shortcuts. Any idea why I'm having this issue with ObjectDock? Details: ObjectDock Plus v1.91k[a].025 Error messag
I think it does the first one(move the file into a open folder) in the same way as windows taskbar(by dragging and hovering over that folder taskbar for some time) and doesnt do the second one(show windows side-by-side).
Do you have your docks locked? I find that dragging, even into the recycle bin, does not work with locked docks.
You can still get to the ObjectDock forum using a direct link, but I don't see it on the main Forums page... Where did it move to? https://forums.stardock.com/forum/176 > ObjectDock" is missing a link in the middle.
I'll admit that my enthusiasm for Vista keeps declining as I discover more and more stupidity in how it was put together. I don't think most people realize just how badly designed the UAC is. I have read lots of comments from (non developers) people who say that deveopers just need to write their software "right". But what they don't realize is what a pain in the butt it is to write it "right" and that it's not even clear what "right" is and in many cases, it requires an exp
Chaos? A little delay is Chaos? I must be using a different tape measure... What would you tell someone who's subscription expired well AFTER the "next month" date, but well BEFORE the DesktopX update was actually delivered?
So... Any word yet? I'm hearing about DesktopX 4.0 and 3.5 isn't even released yet.
FYI... Quicken Cash Manager 2008 (Cdn version) botches up a few items for me. My Dock is totally unresponsive while QCM2K8 is running. Also my StrokeIt (a gesturing program) is also rendered useless. I don't expect Stardock to resolve this issue, but they should probably make some kind of contact with the folks at Intuit to see if the problem could be resolved. This is definately an issue with Quicken - and I'll be glad to switch to something else if I can fin
