Last week, we released the first beta for WindowBlinds 11, which is designed to run on Windows 11 (it also runs on Windows 10). Like previous versions of the application, theming your desktop is as easy as making a couple of clicks and - voila! You have completely changed the appearance of your workspace.</p
Today, we released an update for Start11 that enables new functionality that is designed to work with retail builds of Windows 11. If you're still a Windows 10 user, don't worry - and Start11 continues to support that OS as well! In v1.3, we implemented new functionality for replacing your Start menu icon when centered, as well as an option for ungrouping your icons when centered when you enable the enhanced taskbar option. This means that you can have complete control over your taskb
In the last 12 months, Stardock has released two new versions of our most popular applications: Start11 and Fences 4 . In the next couple of months, we will be adding two additional updates to our portfolio as we continue to refresh our suite of applications. Object Desktop is Stardock’s way of making it easy t
If you have an Object Desktop Subscription - WB11 is part of that. If you purchased any previous version of WindowBlinds, there is an upgrade offer and I'll have a few keys as well to give to those who are committed to updating their skins to support some of the new features that WB11 enables.
We are making good progress on our last few items, beta will land next week.
If the idea of having twenty-five windows open doesn’t scare you but the thought of not being able to see all of the windows open at once does, then Start11 is your new best friend. While there are many features in Start11 worth highlighting, not everyone is aware of this particular one: you can expand the taskbar. The taskbar is arguably the most important part of the Windows operating system. However, Microsoft made significant changes with Windows 11. With ungrouping gone, an
It’s no secret that Stardock products make your Windows desktop a more personalized space - and, in many scenarios, a more productive experience overall. From Fences 4 to Start11, our products make your devices fit your workflows instead of you having to adapt to what Windows has decided works best for their more than 1 billion users. This past week, Microsoft ha
As long as we don’t hit anymore road bumps, targeting beta release later this month.
Last month, we made both Fences 4 and Start11 available on Steam. The release of our software on Steam was the end of a long journey that required us to rework how our applications are updated; if you're wondering what’s the difference between buying an app on Steam or directly from Stardock, fear not: this post will answer that ques
This week, we shipped an update to Fences 4 that brings enhancements to translations, as well as a number of bug fixes. If you haven’t been prompted to download the update yet, you can manually check in the application or download a fresh install from your Stardock account . Fences now supports some new languages, including Korean, Chinese-traditional, Portuguese-Brazil, and more. To see th

Oh and I just noticed I've been with WC for 12 years...how time flies [e digicons]:*[/e]
I am hoping this month but again it is highly dependent on us having a stable version of the beta to ship. Right now there are notable differences between the Windows 11 release and the Windows 11 beta (which will be 22h2) that requires addi
For years, Stardock has offered an affiliate program that allows our partners to re-sell Stardock products and earn a commission each time a transaction occurs. Since the platform we used for this was a bit outdated, we re-worked the foundation earlier this summer and are ready to reboot the program with a new foundation. Today, our affiliate program is up and running using Impact, which provides robust tracking and dashboarding capabilities. To register as an affiliate, join th
Thought I would ask this question... when WB11 comes out, will there also be a vastly improved SkinStudio 11 also?
Not at release - we need to get WB11 operational on Windows 11 first before we can go down the path of updating studio.
We have an internal build of WB11 that we are piloting - we are not ready to release it yet as there are a few bugs that we need to squash but optimistic that it will be sooner, rather than later, that we can get a public beta started.
We talk to customers every week about how they are using our products to help us develop the next wave of updates. We hear about how Start11 is used to standardize desktops across various endpoints, but the uses for Fences vary from simple file organization to advanced auto-sorting of documents as they arrive for outside parties. I want to talk about how I have been using Fences 4 as we continue to expand the scope of initiatives
This week, we are releasing a new update for Start11 that brings the version number to 1.25. To make the product compatible with our upcoming WindowBlinds 11 release, we're adding a few minor features. v1.25 contains two quality of life (QOL) improvements: Using the scroll wheel, you can now navigate pages on supported menus When searching, you can now see the path for files and documents via tooltips. It’s that time of the year when we are applying lots of sunscreen, the lightning bugs are filling up the backyards, and... our software is on sale. That’s right, friends: for the first time since they released, Start11 and Fences 4 are on sale. Start11 is the industry's best Start menu - and it will soon be available on Steam! Since the release of the application late last year, we have heard your feedback and are happy to announce that we are in the final stages of making it ready to purchase on that marketplace. As of today, you can now add Start11 to your Steam wishlist so you can be notified whe
