Wow I'm really getting sick of the Devs blaming Gamestop and peoples routers for a multiplayer problem that should have been obvious from the moment of conception. Face it the launch problems are of your own design and your own problem, not anyone elses. The fact is the Gamespot review is 100%, low content high price, buggy networking. Don't blame gamespot for being honest.
Really? Perhaps there should be some adjustments to other games then. Let's see, I remember being

Saying Demigod is unfinished would be like saying World of Warcraft wasn't finished because it had server problems when it first released. Have some perspective.
Mik, in the beta, the light side one every pantheon tournament. The dark side having the lead in 1 tournament is indicative of nothing.
I finally got a chance to download and play Demigod this morning. The good: + The balance is much better than the beta versions. + The generals are much better + Addictively fun + MP Skirmish feature is very nice The bad: - Call me spoiled but I was hoping for even more game start up options - Connecting to other players is a pain if you just toss up a game right now - No single player campaign <
This kind of post reminds me why I don't play Dota anymore. It was a fun mod but the people who played it were just total asses. Anyone who claims Demigod is a clone of Dota hasn't played Demigod very much. In Dota the skill revolves around getting the last hit on creeps and memorizing items to chain together. In Demigod, the skill revolves around when to equip your Demigod with what for the particular circumstance as well as knowing when it's best to upgrade your cita
Add yours to the list: http://forums.demigodthegame.com/345339 Everyone thinks a different Demigod is overpowered. One might start thinking these guys are..godlike or something.
I'll say 89. I liked Sins but Demigod has a wider appeal I think. Depends on the single player features really.
LOL@Dakiny: You'd have a little more credibility if you hadn't just accused one of the highest ranked players of cheating because he beat you (with Regulus). http://forums.demigodthegame.com/345230 It's usually considered a good thing if there are significant differences in outcome based on skill and experience with the game. If he'd beaten you with the Rook or some other Demigod I can't help but think your rev
To be fair to the OP, someone who knows the game can kind of cheese Regulus so that late game he's pretty much firing a machine gun of high damage attacks. I'd say that it's not so much skill as much as knowing which items to build your demigod with.
I only have the beta to go on so here's my 2 cents. Graphics: 5 stars Gameplay: 5 stars Multiplayer: 2 stars. Too hard to get the game going. I want to press a button and have it put me in a game (not Pantheon). I hate the 'custom game' thing except when i am playing with buddies which i don't really have in the beta lol. Fun factor: 4 stars. needs more balance. As one of the early critics of this game, I am glad to see it have come so far. Given the st
What's with the attitude, Sorceress? Talk about blaming the messenger.
Could you start by describing your computer? Video card. Operating system. That kind of thing?
Some of you give Basement dwelling comic book guys a really bad name. I love how magically you guys know what state a game is supposed to be in a month or more before release even though 99% of games don't even have public betas at all. Give your egos a rest. I remember reading this kind of bullshit during the Sins of a Solar Empire beta. Boy did that game flop. NOT.
PI, this is why people don't take you seriously. You go from post to post trolling.
I think they do still suggest making sure some ports are open if you're having trouble.
I admit to being a "fanboi" myself. I was pretty skeptical of Demigod until beta 3 but when the game came together it really has become something outstanding.
QFT. Hipocracy ftw. So many people here love to hate on DotA and complain about the DotA playerbase, when they're just as elitist / close minded towards people who bring up DotA or who aren't diehard Stardock (Sins, Supreme Commander etc) fans. Unfortunately, based on recent posting, this appears to include Frogboy.
PI - you are the poster child of the obnoxious Dota fans
I am here because I want to play Demigod. I have played Dota and I don't like it. I get pretty sick of the same half dozen Dota zealots attacking everything about Demigod that isn't like Dota. I have been plenty critical about Demigod during the betas and now that it is really good in most ways, I feel good about my posting contributions. It's not elitism to not want the game you like turned into a game you don't like.
Anything that will get the nutty Dota zealots to go away has to be a good thing. All hail LOL.
What derailed MY thread were the usual cabal of PossiblyImpossible, Jinx, and Evanscent who insist on turning every thread into a Dota discussion. People may like Dota but they hate the Dota community. Judging by their behavior, it's not hard to see why. I also like Frogboy's posts, he puts the mirror up to the frothing ones and they don't like the reflection they see. I almost forgot how the Homeworld fanboys stalked the Sins forums at the end.
What?.. What other forums? The sins one? The devs messed things up on that game purposefully with the patches because they hated people playing the game competitively online. :/
This is why people say you're a troll.
I do think the Unclean Beast is a little overpowered.
Seriously guys, we heard you the first 5-10 times you told us "nothing against this game, any 5 yr old will enjoy it and that's fine (but it Sucks! Connectivity! DoTA! Rage! Internet!)"
My thoughts exactly. I play Galactic Civilizations 2 still and every now and then some Space Empires IV troll will climb out and start saying how much better Space Empires is than Galactic Civilizations because of its "depth". It's like, fine, go away and play Space Empire
I have played nearly every RTS out for the past 10 years. I also love RPGs, TBSs, and an occasional FPS (L4D, TF2, and Stalker). This is certainly an instant classic if they get NAT down better and tweak a very few number of things. With post release free DLC it will be amazing and have a ton of appeal.
Ditto.
I can usually get into games. It's completing games that's been a pain for me.
