I've yet to experience a crash in many hours of play. People like Reapy are the kind of people who don't read readmes, don't check FAQs and then scream when something goes wrong. As for "minor" issues, read carefully about what people determine as "issues". Ex, update ship. I update my ships as standard practice. Works fine.

I love Civ 4. and this ain't a fair place for this question. But galciv 2 edges civ 4 out in my book. Civ 4 just feels too.. too much like a product. i can't quite put my finger on it. It's like when you play galciv you can feel the love the team put into the game. the little touches. civ 4 feels like it was designed by a committee at times. I still love it and civ4 is far better than any previous civ in my book i just feel at times that it's become such a commoditized pr

it would be very scary to have to compare galciv 2 and civ 4. Civ 4 was a masterpiece but as I play galciv 2, i am finding that it is simply a better game overall. In the spirit of the olympics, Civ 4 is like Michelle Kwan. Perfect poise and elegance. But GalCiv has nearly the same level of poise and arrogance but has a noticeable edge in what it can do. In 6 months, I think more people who have both will still be playing gc2 than Civ4. The replayability is just a bit bet

Bullox about the retail version being buggy. I can't think of anything beyond the "typo" level that I've run into yet. With all the people posting and Stardock not censoring, why isn't the forum full of pissed off people if it's so buggy? Check your HW.

I can't believe how incredible this game is. I'm at work and all I can think of is the time before I go home and play this game. Do I play as the humans or am I going to create some new race? Who should I play against? The sinister Drengin or the back stabbing Korx or some random selection? Do I go for having huge fleets of fighters or should I go with capital ships? And if that's not enough, I have the excitement in knowing that you guys are making more update

I sometimes wonder if people think before they write. Here is a game that runs on how many different setups? Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows 2000, Windows XP. How many different video cards? How many generations of video cards. Out of the bugs that have been posted, how many of them are universal? I have been playing so much this weekend that my wife is really getting teed off at me. Number of crashes = 0. None. Number of problems = 0. It bugs me to be put into

"sheesh, MOO3 held my interest longer" This really says it all. Then go play MOO3 and leave us neandrathals to our happy land of GalCiv 2.

It is amazing the power of trolls. I followed your link. 2 people gave it a 1. Disgusting. That's not opinion, that's abuse. If you get enough votes, it will cancel them out. But you have to get 20 people to give it a 10 to just get it to a 9. And i agree this game is a 9.5 or better easy which means 40 people would have to vote. Everyone let's vote!

Doesn't matter how legitimate your grievance is the fanbois will drown you out. There's nothing legitimate in his greievance. Nobody is drowning out legitimate criticism. It's not "fanboi" to jump on someone who would attack the integrity of the developers who have quite obviously been spending day and night responding to posts, preparing an u

**********My review************ We are blessed to have two such exquisite entries to the turn based strategy game genre in such a short amount of time. **Background** I thought the original Galactic Civilizations was okay. After the huge disappointment of MOO 3, I found GalCiv and was reasonably happy with it. It didn't hold my interest long term because I felt I was too limited. Too many games ended the same way. I still liked it but would have given it a 4 out of 5.

I've yet to experience a crash. Playted 10 hours last night and a shorter 4 hour game when I got home from work. Flawless. I hate to say it but with this many people with this many hardware rigs, somebody is going to draw the short straw. I am confident Stardock will figure out the issue you're having and fix it pronto. You can count on it.

No issues, 10 hour game. Some people need to redefine major bug as being well, something major. And more people need to read the pinned topics. How many times have we seen someone post a melodramatic topic name that was covered in the readme or in a sticky?

lol did anyone check out the time stamps on Frogboys statements? he must type like a madman. I counted a couple places where he typed over 10 words in 5 or 6 seconds. that's over 100 wpm between getting the question and having an answer.

I had found Skin your screen's podcast through the url that mr. biotech posted and was a happy listener until he had some falling out with Frogboy over their style xp review. When he came on and started saying how awful Frogboy was and that he was going to make it his business to tell the world about it I spoke up. Then he immediately claimed I was a Stardock employee apparently for the sin of living in Canton Michigan (isn't Stardock in pontiac or liv
