Of course, and I googled this, it is the most commonly reported problem with the game, it's completely broken.

I have athlon64 3200+, 8600GT 256MB, 2GB RAM. Windows XP SP3. The game frequently freezes, no matter what the graphical settings are, I can hear the hard drive working overtime all the time, when I want to exit the game it takes 4 minutes, everything is so slowed down, and THEN WHEN I EXITED THE GAME my entire computer is extremely slowed down for several more minutes. How the hell can you release such faulty broken game?!
