45l on 750 km are 6l/100km. Thats less then average...What kind of "Tank" does your army use :D
Grottenolm85
Same here PC Game ~50€=75$ EA-Game: 60€=90$ Console Game: 70€=105$
Np. Rofl, the Grottenolm Star :D Btw, If you have a dubious looking connection like: connection planetIndexA 3 planetIndexB -1 spawnProbability 1.000000 type "PhaseLane" Don't start looking for a strange "-1" Planet. All connections to the local sun are "-1"-connections.
The real moddings tools might be useful. With the current possibilities its not(or only very tricky) realizable.
Revoice the vasari may be?
Works perfectly now thx.
I tryed to add new sounds to the game, but it doesn't seem to work. They were wav files, so i converted them to ogg vobis files as the rest of the gamefiles. I Named it Tech_Heavy_Laser_muzzle.ogg and put it in a folder named 'sound' in the mod folder. Then i altered the Tech battleship entity file to: muzzleSounds soundCount 3 sound "Tech_Heavy_Laser_muzzle"
Ok, the problem may be that if the planet is named "planet115" it is not necessarily the 115th planet in this star system(if you delete a planet meanwhile eg.). The true number of the planet is the position in the planetlist of the star. Could be fun to count around 100 planets :D. If you count mind that all programs start counting with 0!!! So the third planet would be e.g. planetIndexA 2. Another way is to create one 'dummy' connection from the wormhole to another n
I agree, the most vasari Voices are a Pain in the ass. But the skimisher is quite good. The Scout sonuds like an aged chipmunk! I Barely played the Vasari so far, because of the disturbing voices and the boring Weapon effects. A whole hoarse species is throwing green bananas at nearby ships... thats just too odd.
Hi, i've been asked to release the new Version of RCS a little earlier so here you go Blumento_pferde. :D Thx to Admiral_cobbs for the raw material for the new Atlantis-like weapon effects of TEC. It's not ready yet, but it will be fine for some matches against Ai. If you have suggestions or wishes post them below. May be i can realise them. Have fun :)
If you are a student or pupil 40$ can be much money. So if you wait till you can afford it, it's quite normal i would say. But what considerable reason should a dev have to pre-announce a price drop? To catch the car dealer example from above. Would a dealer tell you to come back next week because the desired car will be less expansive then?? For me its simple. One refill for my car costs about 100$(45l) and lasts for 750 km. So to be financially even, i only have to drive 330km by bike
Is there any reason not to copy from one of the most successful Games ever? You don't have to invent the wheel anew. I liked the handling of WC3(and the game overall) as did the devs if you look at Sins.
Our coffee-maker makes very similar noises when he's done scrambling the coffeebeans.
I think i have heard some sounds from Nexus too. Do you have any stock sounds you don't use? Would love more modding stuff. :D
Hmm are Craig and Blair Fraser relatives? Or the same person? Craig Blair Fraser? schizophrenic? BUMP :D
My guess would be: Hardcoded. Wait dor the final modding tools.
As militia will never follow your cap you can just destroy the 1-2 siege frigates then colonize the planet and retreat the Colony-Cap for repairs. That way another player trying to rush with a siege-frigate will have to handle the militia first :P
Ahh i was looking for something like that. Gonna boost the militia a little...
You could add a template containing one scout of every player to every gravity well. A lot of work when making a map, but think that way you don't need phaselanes
Are there any non-used sounds, meshes or texures? Would be great to have some more stuff to work with. When i savage from other games i always have to ask for permission. Mostly they don't care or are glad to help out, but some deveopers don't answer or are not reachable.
Sadly no. The maps contain no information about gravity wells.
Stardock INVENTED the PC :P
Every damage is damage per second.
"- Subverter - Distortion field can lead to ship getting transported to middle of nowhere when it getsd used on ships mid jump?? Anyone else had this?? Hours later my ship still hadn't made it back to its grav well "
Had that too. My ships jumped into the sun and got stuck there.
Phasic Barrier - Doesn't auto turn off so can stay on for a long time costing production despite system being safe Needs
The idea ist not entirely new. In Civilization a game for world domination can last weeks(or more) when you play 1-2h a day. Therefore you can set a round-limit. Then you just count existing cities, population, lost units etc. .Now you just have to grade it in some way, done. Couldn't be too hard to implement a counter which triggers gameend in Sins...
@GridGlider: Your point of view. I liked Haegemonia very much. @topic: SOASE is amazingly similar to Pax Imperia 2. Of course the graphics and the handling are much better now but it would be a really ugly game if they were still the same as in Pax. And I agree that the 'inner values' of pax where way more sophisticated. When they are already 'gathering ideas' from other games why don't they make a contemporary version of a pax-Moo-GalCiv mix? But even those who try that fail. The fi
