I like to think that it's the Vasari themselves, with some sort of time anomaly bringing them from the past, and taking over territory that they think it's alien, only to conquer their future selves. They might even try to go back to the past to fix this and conquer what's conquering them to reclaim their planets, only to start the cycle again. So it's Vasari from the past or the future after all.
Thats why they are so ugly. Everyone is his own grandgrandparent-->incest-->mutan

1.03 Mods are mostly incompatible with the 1.02 game version. Weird bug like invulnerable pirates appear sometimes. Admiral Cobbs i successfully ripped your Railguns apart  If you wanna take a look on the slaughter: [link="http://myfreefilehosting.com/f/015b96cbfe_0.9MB"]WWW Link[/link] (Unfinished unbalanced Version so don't bother me with undefeatable fleets :CONGRAT: ) Btw, i used your Lasers as heavy plasma for the advent. The radiance lools pretty cool.<b

OK, as English is not my native language i keep it short. The new fireanimations look really nice, but they are used a little too much. In my opinion the light and medium Laser should stay as they originally are. The heavy laser looks cool, but it should stay red/orange/yellow. That way the really heavy Weapons look really heavy too :D(As the Kol is the only one using the heavy laser you could consider to replaceing the main cannon of the Dunov with it too) The autocannons are suppo

a) you dont have to build them. They just spawn every 30 seconds(300 in battle). AND they are for free :D If you need more you have to upgrade the tactical or logistic slots on the planet. Its the same for the advent and vasabi too. b) No the Pirates are a party on their own. If you pay them you do what the other players offer to you as "missions".

Of course they look the same. I have not changed the models yet. Technically i changed them (size for example) But sadly i haven't found a way to export them back into the game... there is only a importer/exporter for 3D studio max, but i don't have it. just the stats are changed so far. the folder "...\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods\Echte Schlachtschiffe" must contain the unpacked "GameInfo"-folder
This game is pretty unplayable right now, sorry. I'm so frustrated by the game that I'm uninstalling it until 1.04 comes out.
Lol, i too always burn down my house when i'm not home for a couple of days and rebuild it when i come back ;-) Whats the point of uninstalling it,except more work when you want to play again?

true, with the right combination of units you can beat an enemy far outnumbering you. Try a battle with 5 carriers + support against 5 Battleships +support in a asteroid belt :D. Normally the BS would easily kill the carriers. But with the 20% miss rate...

Hm i made a Mod some time ago which strengthened the Capital ships, and extended the research tree. In this mod the Capital ships get even stronger with experience. So high-lvl CS are much more valuable and shouldn't get lost in battle. Thanks to the extended research-tree upgraded ships are up to 55% stronger than ordinary ones. So you can win a battle through technological sovereignity. Also defense-platforms have a much higher range so you should use LRMs to get rid of them. otherwi
