also noticed that another fence changed size twice. same issue. trying the setting to "remember fence size per resolution" (the fence changing size was easily noticed as it reduced from 4 icons per row to 3 icons per row
hi, I'm not sure of the trigger or culprit but frequently enough one rolled up fence which is at the bottom right next windows taskbar (always the same fence) will change its rolling "side" I recently tried to fix it by using "lock fences" but it still bugged out. What happens exactly : -at start I setup the fence to have its titlebar right next to the windows taskbar & it develops upward -after it bugged out, the
hi, what's in the title. I use the mouse & middle click or alt & mouse movement mainly to switch between desktop pages So far I can say I don't use them much because it's such a huge movement required and I have a pretty high DPI mouse (G500 , 1800 or 2200 DPI on a 1680x1050 screen) I'm not sure it seems like it requires about a third of the screen as movement for the switch to complete ? I dunno about you guyz but I like minimal movements
Hi, I make extensive use of the wallpaper cycling integrated in windows 7 I see that fences snapshots seem to store my wallpapers ???? does restoring a snapshot also restores the wallpaper ? if yes that's not wanted over here.
yeah that's what I noticed. would be nice it you could stack them in a way
hi, so I'm trying out fences, been a long time I've been searching for something to organize my desktop been using objectdock free for a little while but it's just not enough, I have a lot of games and there's also the huge issue that objectdock requires manual setup of each steam link & icon. Overall it seems Fences is more what I need. I'm still wondering how to categorize game genres however... Anyway... I was wondering can you sort of "stack
So I've been using objectdock free as a mean to have my preferred games right under my hand. Steam is nice & all, but I'm not fond of opening the whole interface just to click on a shortcut of a game. So what I do is create shortcuts on the desktop from steam (which I then move to a subfolder). Afterward I will drag & drop the shortcut from the folder to the dock created by objectdock and BAM I get the wrong icon (always a blue & green world globe) which then
Well I know if you build custom frigates, or small vessels, you don't have enough space to make the ship as good as the pre made ones. Specifically you can't put a gun and a +1 movement engine on them but the pre built ships can move 2 parsecs . Unless I overlooked something obvious.
which version of the game & expansion you have ?
I wouldn't consider a lot of their patches 'updates' . They really do far less than they should get credit for most times.
maybe but as a matter of fact, XP was a pile of crap at launch, worse than win2k which was already plagued by problems (at launch). Debugging & fixing, is by far the most daunting & time consuming programming task of a project. Accorded that there is still some crap in XP like the poor explor
May I suggest to use the "Archive" function once you download a game with this platform, this will create local files (that you can burn or store) to reinstall the game without having to redownload the whole damn thing. While I understand your pain, uninstalling a "previous" version is quite often a requirement for applications & games and demos could be understood as "previous" versions. On the other hand, with a little registry knowledge it's probably fixable. But I agre
by any chance do you ALT-Tab out of the game while playing ? or is there any screensaver or any other application taking the focus at some point while gaming ?
I got these numbers from the A.I. personality tab while setting up a game
ho nice one, never thought about checking that out [e digicons]^_^[/e] anyway there's more to difficulty than these numbers, even if you start a game with cheats to see your opponents stats right from the beginning, some things are still hidden. In any case the wiki should give you a clue on the overall difficulty change between modes, if yo
Hum this seems like a normal debug "Destroying Window" is 100% normal. I note that the game seems to post and recieve a "WM_CLOSE". While recieving such a message is normal when you close the game, it seems the game itself triggers that "WM_CLOSE" message/event. (" post ") although maybe not related I would personnaly make sure that no background applications AND screensaver could trigger while playing Also looking a
I find it, strange that you are not able to finish a game due to random events. [e digicons]o_O[/e] because AFAIK loading a savegame should NOT restart the same random event at the same point. [e digicons]8|[/e] I personnaly set my autosave to each and every turn, that way when I get a problem (it happens), I can load right where I was Ho and I'm replying with what little info I got in your thread, I'm not trying to defend the company at a
I think this si quite normal I mean YOU are the leader, and as such you should know that engaging in war with a race will provoke all those allied with that race and of course they don't like it that's exactly what happened with Real World Wars, with alliances and such everyone got into war by one way or another and even if one is more powerful, at some point some people or countries prefer to resist or be killed ... of cou
I notice the turn button disappearing when the game waits for me to move some units with left over moves and no remaining orders after I gave orders to said ship or ships, it reappears is that what you are talking about ?
hum... don't know where you derived your numbers from but here's the details of what I know : https://www.galciv.wikia.com/wiki/Difficulty as you can see in the notes, there's a lot of unknown... but in any case, even if it's not seen in the numbers available, it should really be a lot harder if you read the values there
unplayable is a bit far fetched, don't you think ? random events being as random as they are, shouldn't render the game unplayable or did I miss something not written in this post ? though, the only problem I'm aware of with random events is the "dread lords" one
it's a bug [e digicons]:S[/e] ... don't know if it's fixed in 2.0 though

well going from cakewalk to suicidal is pushing it a little too far too fast I think! [e digicons]:O[/e] I would personnaly try from normal to painful/crippling, paying special attention to "tough" https://www.galciv.wikia.com/wiki/Difficulty_level good luck [e digicons]:star:[/e]
well considering that you never registered and that you don't have the serial anymore, I'm unsure anyone can help you on this matter though, if one can help it should be : support@stardock.com edit: said that because of course you absolutely need to update the base game and first expansion ...
