Beg pardon, but I just gotta say that this one still seems like a bug to me. I never do it because it just *feels* wrong. If your troops don't have the tech to do even 50% physical work on the world, just how are they supposed to be able to kill all those defenders? Seems like at the minimum, invading a world without the right enviro tech should give you a very large combat penalty.
it should be outright impossible if yo

also I just saw that you use multisample "5" which should translate in AA 5x even if it works, this is NOT a good idea, AA was designed with multiples in mind (for nvidia cards AA2x, AA4x, AA8x so you should either choose 2, 4 or 8)

I mean yes I'm expecting alot from integrated graphics but It does meet the games requirements as well as passing it. AA is kind of a multiplier, though. Granted, that's perhaps not the best way to put it, but it's (I've found) the best rule to live by when setting it. And the issue with it being integrated is that the VRAM it uses is "borrowed" (aka stolen) from you

(for reference the primary buffer is what the screen displays, while this happens the gfx cards calculates the next image and stores it in the back buffer, then switches the back & primary buffer around, and so on ... )
Hey Sole Soul, thanks for the *.zip link for all of us whiners. You get karma for that! I have to say though, this *.zip versus *.rar debate is rather silly, at least for this particular example. By placing it in an *.rar archive, you've limited its usefulness, because it is guaranteed that someone won't be able to open it - and it was done for a whopping 1.2 MB. I have to ask, is it really worth it?
<

And I wanted to do a separate post as a request for the I-mod team : -if you guys could integrate additional visual options to be shown on the trees it would be nice, like for example : an icon for unstealable/untradable, an icon for unique tech (not present in any other tree)... I'm throwing the idea into the air, if you guys like it, take it. If it's not possible to do it, drop it... Thanks for reading.

I still don't understand what's so complicated with optionnaly uninstalling winzip and installing winrar or 7-zip in its place... I guess to each his own... if you often begin to download a lot of mods here and there for games, you will often stumble upon rar files rar saves space and so user bandwith and more importantly server bandwith which might not be important for you but is important for a lot of webmasters hosting free sites which pay for the bandwith ...

well as I see it, it's probably because of the gfx engine and I don't see stardock putting dev time into galciv2 engine now... moreover there's not so much games that fully support windowing / fullscreen / alt-tabbing /screensavers or whatever involves multitasking (fully support = 100% functional with 0 % crashes)
