So in fact 10% PQ is almost useless since only planets with initial PQ > 10 will benefit from it. On the other hand 20% PQ is quite nice for big maps I didn't try out invasion yet, it's probably the same as colonization though I don't know if the initial PQ of planet was already modified by some terraform buildings what will happen...
If the bonus for PQ was better i would take that but its a lot of points for not much of a gain in PQ. NOw, I'm not sure if the percent bonus applies only to the initial PQ or the eventual (after terraforming) or how it works if you have an orbital terraformer (for late game comonization ofthe PQ1's) or when you invade. so maybe it could work better.
this is what I got with my testing with +20%PQ initial =&g
by the way (sorry for triple posting but editing doesn't work in FF3 it seems) [e digicons]:'([/e] Kryo or anyone else going around, what about making this post a sticky instead of the old galactopedia ? since the author fully agreed with letting its project being taken over, since credits are given and since this version is compatible with all 3 galciv2... Just a suggestion though [e digicons];)[/e]
ok this time, I verified my information before submitting it here: there's two galactic wonders that give a HP bonus to ship built there like : Drath Doomsday Generator. And good news this time it works, it really gives a +50% HP bonus to ships built there, it's even better than you might think since it's RETROACTIVE ! So if you lack some hp on your front line and the majority of your ships come from one planet, you know what to do [e digicons];P[/e] . Well let's stop
Drath tech tree get a creativity bonus at some point in the xeno ethics tree and if they are good aligned.(on the other hand, no point being evil with this drath tech tree since you get nothing for it in the tech tree lol)
you can : -mod support components in gc2types.xml (I divided everything by 2) -mod political parties to include a malus to range (don't forget penalties too) (I put -50% myself) -mod technologies to reduce range bonuses gained from techs (I divided everything by 2) have fun playing with the values but don't forget to cheat yourself the techs and test it out thoroughly
also it's stated multiple times that this is NOT the amount of population but the amount of taxpayers. Think of it like your administration can't handle any more than 20 billion of taxpayers without taking strict measures that displease people by a lot ...
I think it's a question of game balance the main reason for the way it is, is to prevent planets with too much billion people and that are too hard to invade
I generally like to leave the opponents in random race choice, but last time I was just checking out the ability to customize your opponents and I saw that every race has between 6 to 10 ability points left over. It's nice since it means you can actually customize them, but I was wondering if AI was using the points if you don't set them yourself. Moreover in random opponents mode you just can't choose any...
I just added a link to this post from the galactic civilizations 2 wiki https://www.galciv.wikia.com/wiki/TA_Technology (this page is meant to be expanded of course)
Hello, I like customizing my race before launching myself in an immense galaxy setup. So just as the title says, what's the starting technology tree you like the most, and why ? I'm currently trying to decide myself between the nice yor factories and the arcean's or drath nice +3PQ buildings. Trade may also offset some drawbacks from certain technology trees and in any case I'm open to all suggestions... TA is so diverse I have quite a hard time getting the wh
you extract the files to C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\GalCiv2\DarkAvatar\Mods
the directory is in fact modifiable in the settings
doc martin : I suggest starting a new thread for your problem since it seems very different but look at this if there's not the solution to your problem there : https://esupport.stardock.com/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=view&parentcategoryid=234&pcid=0&nav=0 allgamelord your thread is old, but in any case I suggest reading around here if it's still not solved : https://esupport.stardock.com/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=2
arf silly me it's a month old post. sorry guys noooooo I'm not a necromancer I promise ! [e digicons]:pout:[/e]
also choose the same side as them : that is "evil alignment",gives a + too I say this but I'm in the same boat but maybe because I cheated everything [e digicons]}:)[/e] (backstory : I'm not really interested in playing campaigns, just knowing what happens)
Just a suggestion since you seem to have problems with your website : Why don't you just contribute your things to galciv.wikia.com ? Which is, as far as I know, the official galciv2 wiki source of information.Don't take this bad though it's nice to open a fansite, and I don't want to discourage you from it, just suggesting since it seems you have some difficulties.
new game only I'm afraid [e digicons]:\[/e]
I'll be confirming that later, but as far as I remember, +espionage only allows you to SPEND more money, thus getting spies faster. So for example, figuring the exact same incomes for all 3 races: -the Yor with +0 would spend, lets say 1,000bc when set at 25% spending -the Kyrnn with their +50 would spend 1,500bc when set at 25% spending -the Iconians with their +100 would spend 2,000bc when set at 25% spending <br
hum well you can change your base color when tweaking your race at the beginning of a new game, other than that ... I don't know but there's also a few things you can try before changing those colors... first and foremost depending on you specific screen and graphic card and settings, the actual color shown can differ by quite a bit For example, if you use AA (antialiasing located ni video options) and if you have an Nvidia graphic card, y
ho ok lol I got it now lol there's so much expectations from the not-MoM game that I fear we're a little disappointed at the final result whatever it is
GC3 will use not-MoM's engine.
MoM ???
I don't know about impulse.I use Stardock Central and things are easy there: -first install stardock central -second go to "Tools" then register product, enter serial number and choose related product -third download application or updates as necessary my guess is that impulse is rather new and needs some finetuning but hey ... what do I know...
ha ! I did exactly the same thing I launched the game, then read the manual and relaunched the game too !
Hum I'm ok with such a limit It appears there's a problem here though because my game did not last 1 hour at all I did not check about years though edit: just checked a savegame I made at the end the date was "9 february 3300"
Well, The game looks good so I downloaded the demo (thanks to the announcement on the galciv2 forums) 1GB download, and I could play only 5 minutes ... I did not even complete the training how can I test a game with a 5 minute try on such a big gigantic game ? whatever I will probably buy this game from stardock, as I said, it looks good, it's cheap, it's stardock and there's no starforce... these are all good reasons to buy it sooner or later <br
